Rangers told James Tavernier that he was “one to watch” as they talked about a possible summer transfer for Al-Ettifaq

Barry Ferguson has said that Rangers fans should keep an eye on the futures of James Tavernier and Connor Goldson during the summer transfer window.

Both English players have been linked with moves to the Saudi Pro League for the summer. Reports say Steven Gerrard wants to bring them back together by signing them to Al-Ettifaq [Daily Record, 24 April].

It’s thought that no official bids have been made yet, but Ferguson, a radio host on Go Radio, has said that rumours have grown over the last few days and asked fans to keep an eye on things.

He said on The Go Radio Football Show (13 June, 40:00): “It’s been talked about for over a year, and things have gotten stronger in the last few weeks.”

“That will be interesting to see; both have two years left on good contracts, so that is one to keep an eye on.”

According to Ferguson, rumours about Tavernier and Goldson’s future are not new. Both players have been linked with moves away from Glasgow for a long time, even before Philippe Clement took over at Ibrox.

That anger has grown even stronger because of how badly the two played in the second half of the season. Tavernier was criticised by experts, and Goldson was even dropped from the team before he got hurt.

It is said that Jose Mourinho cruelly left out Ryan Kent, a fan favourite at Rangers, from his Fenerbahce team.

The famous manager is now in Turkey. He has been in charge of Chelsea, Manchester United, and other teams, most recently Roma. Following the end of his contract with Rangers, Kent moved to the Istanbul giants last season. However, by the end of the season, he was no longer allowed to play for them in the Super Lig.

He has played 18 times and scored one goal and set up two others. A new manager can be a fresh start, but Mourinho is not said to be impressed because he turned down a chance to go on loan in January and then didn’t play much in the second half of last season.

According to Haberturk, the Portuguese manager “totally wrote off Kent because of how he behaved last season.” They say the manager is thought to have said, “I don’t want to work with a player like that who doesn’t go on loan and doesn’t play here for six months.”

Kent might be able to choose to stay in Turkey.They say that Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who was previously the manager of Rangers, wants to sign him for Beskitas, a team in the same Super Lig league as Rangers.

They worked together at Rangers when they were both there. Kent is said to have agreed to sign with Beşiktaş “in the coming days” after meeting with van Bronckhorst. Mourinho will make the final call, but it looks like Kent won’t be playing for him again.

In 2018, Kent joined Rangers on loan from Liverpool. After the deal was made official, he went on to win the Premiership and the Scottish Cup while playing for Glasgow. He was also a key part of their run to the 2022 Europa League final.

This was the first thing that Jefte did. He made it possible for Clinton Nsiala to follow. Yusuf Kabadayi could be next on the list.

The German Under-20 player is known for how fast he is and can play anywhere in the front three.

The 20-year-old is right-footed, but like most players these days, he likes to play off the left wing.

Like Cortes, he can move with either foot, which makes him very difficult for opponents to beat.

When writing in The Rangers Review, Jack said that Kabadayi was “in line” to finish his move from Bayern Munich.

So far, everyone who has been signed (except Leon Balogun) is 20 years old. This includes Kabadayi.
