Against the Bears, the Lions may be missing Decker, Raymond, and Davis
On Thursday, the short-handed secondary could once more need to rely on Kindle Vildor.
The Chicago Bears, who have suffered another crushing defeat, will play the Detroit Lions.
The Bears dropped their fifth straight game and dropped to 4-7 after losing to the Vikings in overtime, 30-27, despite tying the game late.
Given that the game is only four days after a 24-6 victory against the Indianapolis Colts, three important players for Dan Campbell’s team could not be available.
“It’s going to come down to the wire with a number of them,” said Detroit’s fourth-year head coach. The problem with the short week is that. The difficulty is that it takes three days to turn around and play, but the good news is that I don’t think most of them are long-term issues. It gets quite problematic at that point. Therefore, we are ready as always in case we are unable to. The next man up. Hold the line, perform your duties, then go compete.
Campbell said that three important players who have helped the club win nine straight games might not play when asked explicitly which three players are the hardest to choose.
“Right now, I mean Leaf (Kalif Raymond), Decker, and CD (Carlton Davis).” Saint’s (Amon-Ra St. Brown) had a minor injury. We’ll watch his recuperation.
Message throughout the little preparatory week
This week’s message for the Lions is to recover and be psychologically ready for another NFC North game.
Since 2016, Detroit has not triumphed on Thanksgiving. After the game, quarterback Jared Goff stated that the current club would like to break their seven-game losing skid.
“Recovery is the message. “Recovery, rest, and mental effort,” Campbell remarked. Since you won’t be getting the physical, it’s about how quickly you can recuperate, get your body in good condition, and concentrate on the task at hand. Turn out all outside distractions. One thing: we, not they, are the ones causing the diversions. We have all of our friends and family here. You must ignore it, tell them you care about them, and promise to meet them again after the game.
Campbell went on, “That’s kind of the challenge with all this.” In the past two weeks, our squad has suffered a few heartbreaking losses. However, they have participated in several close races and continue to return for more. They are therefore desperate to win. Our hands are full.
