Dan Campbell of Lions hilariously responds to Dan Campbell Lookalike Contest in the Motor City

Detroit football fans this weekend will be left with an emptiness in their hearts and minds as the Lions rest for their next weekend’s clash with the Buffalo Bills and their top quarterback Josh Allen. The Detroit Lions have played two consecutive Thursday night games against the arch rival Bears and Packers. In hopes of preserving Detroit’s football legacy during the Lions’ extended vacation, a group of Motor City supporters recently decided to organize a Dan Campbell lookalike contest.

Recently, Lions coach Dan Campbell humorously expressed his opinions on the contest while wondering why someone would think of acting in such manner.

“I’m not sure why you would waste your time with that,” Campbell remarked earlier this week prior to the Packers game. “Unless the reward is something worth possessing, there must be other activities to engage in. Exists a fair compensation for it? Perhaps I should get in it.

Last season Campbell guided the Lions to the NFC North championship; today Detroit is banging on the door with the top record in the NFC and homefield advantage all through the playoffs. As Philadelphia, Minnesota and other rivals have showed the chops to fight toe-to–toe with Campbell’s group this season, the Lions might need homefield advantage to reach one of their team goals—making it to the Super Bowl. Following a ferocious second half comeback by Coach Kyle Shanahan’s squad, the Lions fell on the road in the NFC title game against San Francisco last winter.
