Alabama Crimson Tide
Following his first season at Alabama, Ryan Williams makes an exciting announcement.
Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver Ryan Williams burst onto the college football scene in 2024, cementing himself as one of the best pass catchers in the sport.
Williams is fresh off his freshman season with the Crimson Tide, where he served as the No. 1 wide receiver at just 17 years old, after reclassifying to the 2024 recruiting class.
While Williams was a star on the field, he also shared some exciting news about a business venture he shares with Alabama freshman defensive back Jaylen Mbakwe.
The Crimson Tide wide receiver hosts a podcast called the “New Wave Show,” which was launched early in the fall semester.
Williams announced that the “New Wave Show” is now the No. 1 player-led podcast in college football, with over 50,000 listeners through 12 episodes.
The “New Wave Show” was originally launched on Sept. 2, 2024.
It’s produced by the Alabama football creative and features episodes with guests from the Crimson Tide football team, such as Tyler Booker, Jalen Milroe, Germie Bernard, Malachi Moore and Keon Sabb.
The show features two of Alabama’s most promising players. Williams and Mbakwe committed to the Crimson Tide as five-star recruits and both made an immediate impact on the team.
Williams recorded eight touchdowns and 865 yards on 48 receptions. His podcast partner, Mbakwe, finished his freshman season with one interception, two pass deflections and 15 tackles.
