Jared Goff talks about the Lions’ ninth straight win
After a great game on the road, Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff thanked the fans for continuing to show their support when the team isn’t at Ford Field. It’s becoming more common for Lions fans to drive across the country to watch games, and Goff has seen how much of a difference these fans make.
The Power of Fans Who Make Trips
Goff told SI, “It’s pretty dang cool on the road, whether they do my chant or anything like that.” He was talking about how much his fans love him even when he’s not the center of attention. You should have fans who travel and make a difference while you’re away.
Goff then thought about how Detroit’s fans do more than just show up; they have an effect. They don’t just go to the game to watch it; they go to change it. They do that at home, and they still do it on the road today.
Lions fans in Detroit are proud of how they’ve changed the game.
Goff talked about specific games earlier in the season, like when the Lions played Houston and Arizona, and how the fans’ energy seemed to change the flow of the game. “I think about Houston and Arizona. It’s like they come in to change the game, to have an impact on it, and they do it themselves.”
Thank you for your unwavering support.
Goff continued, “We love it,” showing his deep thanks. We love it. I’ll never take for granted the love they have for me and our team.
With the Lions’ growing success, their fans have become an important part of their team’s ability to do well under pressure, no matter where they play. And Goff is thankful for the constant support that keeps the team going, whether they’re at home or on the road.
