Keith Jackson talks about what Willie Collum whispered after the Rangers vs. Hearts game

Keith Jackson said that Willie Collum might have fixed the handball rule after what happened in Hearts’ 0-0 draw with Rangers.

Jackson wrote about it in the August 5 print edition of the Daily Record (page 41). He said it should only be whispered, but after what happened with Connor Barron, the rule could finally be made clear.

VAR also didn’t step in like they did so many times in the Scottish Premiership last season, which played a part.

“That there’s not much between the two,” Jackson wrote. “If Hearts keep Lawrence Shankland, they might be in a race for second place this season.”

“Shhh… Willie Collum might have fixed VAR and the handball rule as well.”

Philippe Clement still needs to work at Rangers.

The first game of the Scottish Premiership was between the Gers and the Hearts over the weekend.

Even though Philippe Clement made a lot of additions over the summer, the season didn’t get off to the best start that some may have hoped for.

Barron, the new player, got a lot of attention for what might have been a handball, but he was actually one of the best players on the pitch.

Robin Propper, a Dutch player, played in his first game too soon, but his extra experience will definitely help the defence at Ibrox.

The club has brought in a lot of new players, but it’s still clear that they have a lot of work to do if they want to beat Celtic this season.

The fact that Brendan Rodgers’ team beat Kilmarnock 4-0 in their first game shows how much better they are than Kilmarnock.

Of course, it’s still early in the season, but it looks like the same thing will happen again if nothing changes.

Ibrox View: Boyd is totally wrong about what Dessers said live on Sky

Kris Boyd, a former Rangers striker, isn’t sure that Lawrence Shankland would be a better replacement for Cyriel Dessers.

Boyd said live on Sky Sports [3 August] that he wasn’t sure if Shankland would be a clear step up from current forward Dessers, who has mixed feelings at Ibrox.

He said, “I don’t know,” when asked if Shankland would be better than Dessers. When it comes to ending, yes. That being said, Rangers can spend £3 million on other parts of their team.

“If he joins Rangers, there will be a lot more counterattacking football, which I don’t think is good for him.” He needs balls in and around the box.

Kris Boyd’s weird Rangers yell

It’s easy to go through a dry spell as a striker. There will always be people who are naturally good at scoring goals, but as we all know, there are a lot of other things that go into it as well.

Lawrence Shankland, on the other hand, does it all the time. Two years in a row, he scored 24 league goals for Hearts in the Scottish Premiership, for a total of 48 goals.

Lawrence Shankland

Dessers, on the other hand, only got 16. We know that numbers don’t always tell the whole story, but this one passes the eye test.

Dessers waits for the right time to act and then does so. Shankland, on the other hand, is a grafter. Every time there’s a chance, he’s there to challenge and work hard to get every loose ball.

As soon as new transfer news comes out, you can get it FIRST on the Ibrox News WhatsApp channel.

Most importantly, he will make the most of that one big chance that comes his way, which is something Dessers fails to do too often.

A lot of people are guessing about what will happen with him next. Though there will always be people on both sides, it seems inevitable that he’ll be scoring goals like crazy at Ibrox because Rangers’ forwards are so much better than Hearts’.

And to say that he wouldn’t be better than Dessers is just not true.

Ibrox Sources: Major Whittaker update and Rangers working on A-list forward signing

Before the transfer window closes, Rangers are still looking to add a top-tier forward, sources have told Football Insider.

The Gers’ financial problems force them to sell players in order to raise money for possible new contracts.

Every member of the team is up for grabs this summer, and Philippe Clement has been transparent about this.

On Thursday, Robin Propper, who was leaving FC Twente, completed a £2.5 million transfer to become the ninth summer signing for Rangers.

The need for an elite goalscorer to propel his team into title contention has sharpened after the opening day 0-0 draw against Hearts on Saturday, so the Gers are now concentrating their efforts at the other end of the pitch.

From the sales of Sam Lammers and Connor Goldson during this window, the Scottish powerhouses have already received £4 million.

Morgan Whittaker and Lawrence Shankland are being watched by Rangers.

Lawrence Shankland and Morgan Whittaker are two players the Rangers are thinking about signing, but their asking prices are high.

In January of last year, the Gers made an attempt to sign the Plymouth Argyle winger but were turned down.

Football Insider disclosed that Wolves and Brentford are also interested in Whittaker, so Rangers will have competition when attempting to close a deal for him.

As Shankland approaches the last year of his Hearts contract, he is available for a reduced fee.

Former Celtic striker Frank McAvennie says Shankland wants to join the Gers, but it’s unclear if the team can afford to make a deal work.
