Kyrie Irving is launching Duke Blue Devils’ trademark ANTA shoes.
Kyrie Irving’s latest trademark shoes honor the Duke Blue Devils.
Kyrie Irving, the Dallas Mavericks’ star, has emerged as one of the most distinctive talents on the NBA floor, known for his clutch scoring and possibly the finest handling in the league. Since Irving was taken first overall in the 2011 NBA Draft, expectations have been sky-high, and his next signature shoe, the ANTA KAI 1, will pay respect to his brief but influential stint as a member of the Duke Blue Devils basketball team.
Kyrie Irving played only 11 games during his one season at Duke University in 2010-2011. His status as the No. 1 overall choice was heavily scrutinized, despite the fact that his collegiate game had a relatively small sample size. However, the decision certainly benefited the Cleveland Cavaliers, as Irving went on to play a key part in the franchise’s first title in 2016.
Kyrie Irving has been with ANTA since July 2023, where he acts as the brand’s face and Chief Creative Officer for all operations. Her first signature model, the ANTA KAI 1, was released in March 2024, and the reception has been overwhelming. Irving’s next release will include a Duke-inspired hue, harkening back to his collegiate days.

The ANTA KAI 1 returns in a Royal Blue/White colorway, which closely resembles the Duke Blue Devils’ color palette. The majority of the previous hues revealed for the shoes were references to certain elements of Irving’s life, so it’s no surprise that we see the famous “Blue Blood” design on his sneakers. The shoes include futuristic shape across the uppers, as well as Irving’s distinctive lockdown strap, which has been used on all of his prior signature models. The sneakers also look great with the Dallas Mavericks’ jerseys, so don’t be shocked if Irving wears them during an NBA game.
The ANTA KAI 1 “College” will be released on December 14, 2024, with a $125 retail price tag. The sneakers will be available on the ANTA online and at select stores like Sneaker Politics and KICKS CREW. Keep up with the release as these are supposed to be exclusive!
