Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has been named in the dream England XI of talkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor.

The Toffees’ number one has been selected by Gareth Southgate in his latest Three Lions squad [official England X account, 14 March].

England meet Brazil and Belgium in international friendlies this month, with Wembley hosting both matches.

“Pickford in goal, then Walker, Maguire, Stones, Chilwell,” said Agbonlahor, as per talkSPORT (13 March). “Centre midfield I’d have Declan Rice, this is me dreaming, on his own, I’d have Bellingham and Foden as two 8s in front.

“I’d have Saka on the right, Grealish on the left and Kane up front. I’m dreaming though, it’s never going to happen.”

Will Everton ace Jordan Pickford be England’s number one at Euro 2024?

Time is running out for Southgate to get a good look at his potential squad for this summer’s Euro 2024 tournament.

The major competition in Germany is rapidly approaching, with the Three Lions preparing for the tournament with friendlies against two footballing giants.

Southgate will definitely be wanting favourable results ahead of Euro 2024, but the performances should be higher on his list of priorities.

The manager will have plenty of tough calls to make, but one easy one will be the inclusion of Toffees ace Pickford.

Not only will the goalkeeper make the squad, but he should be confident of starting every match in Germany.

The shot-stopper has had another superb season for his club, constantly helping the Toffees out in real moments of need.

Pickford and his England teammates should be keen to get far this summer, having been drawn alongside Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia in Group C.
