Rangers to shell out £7.7m to seal new deal

Rangers want to sign Damian Garcia for £7.7 million.

It looks like Rangers will have to pay around £7.7 million to get Penarol midfielder Damian Garcia.

Ibrox wanted to sign the 20-year-old player, according to a report from Football Scotland on June 5th. It is likely that Nils Koppen had talks to sign him in Cancun.

But if Gers still want to sign him this summer, things will be harder because Dario Alberti says he will sign a new deal that lasts until 2026.

The reporter for Sport 890 said that they would add a £7.7 million release clause to the deal to protect their own interests.

In a tweet, Alberti said, “Tomorrow, Damián García’s contract with Peñarol will be renewed until December 2026.” Their pay will go up, and they can leave for a US$10,000,000 fee. It was over for Ruglio and Lasalvia on their trip to Mexico.

Rangers aren’t likely to spend a lot of money on Damian Garcia.

Garcia is only 20 years old, so he hasn’t shown much talent yet, especially outside of Uruguay.

He has shown promise in his home country, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be able to do the same in a more competitive league like the Scottish Premiership.

Garcia has also not yet made a big name for himself on the international stage.

Even though he played well in the under-20 World Cup, the demands of senior club football are very different from playing youth international football.

Rangers would be taking a big risk by putting that much money into a player who hasn’t played much yet.

Trying to get Damian Garcia doesn’t fit with the Rangers’ plan for making transfers.

Gers should instead focus on talented people who have already been around for a while.

The club doesn’t have a lot of money to spend on transfers, and it would be a waste to spend a lot of it on a player who is still learning the game.

There are probably cheaper options that can help the first team right away.

One more thing that needs to be thought about is Philippe Clement’s suggestions. If he can’t take the club to the next level, he will be held accountable.

It would cost a lot to sign Rangers for good.

Because they bought him for £6 million from Slavia Prague in 2021, the Seagulls probably won’t want to let him go for free. However, The Athletic reported at the time of the original deal that there was thought to be an option for an extra year.

If Hurzeler doesn’t think Sima is ready to play in the Premier League, and the player has made it clear that he feels at home at Rangers, Brighton could choose to exercise his contract option and let him come back on a second loan deal, unless they get a better offer from somewhere else.

As a result, the English club is almost certain to get a new manager, which will be a big step towards Sima finding out where he will play next season.
