The Cowboys have been linked to Bill Belichick amid problems under Mike McCarthy in the NFL

The Dallas Cowboys lost to the Detroit Lions 47-9 on Sunday, dropping their record to 3-3. There has been talk that head coach Mike McCarthy might be fired and replaced by a legendary teacher.

Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports says that “many around the league wonder if Dallas could become the primary landing spot for” Bill Belichick this offseason. Belichick used to be the head coach of the New England Patriots.

“Many sources,” Schultz said, also said that Belichick gets along “really well” with the Jones family.

During the 2024 season, Belichick will work as a reporter for several networks. He was unexpectedly not hired by anyone else last summer after leaving the Patriots after 23 years.

The Cowboys have had McCarthy as their coach since 2020. The team has done well in the normal season, going 12-5 three times in a row. But in the playoffs, they have never made it past the Divisional Round. It was embarrassing for Dallas to lose to the seventh-seeded Green Bay Packers 48–32 at AT&T Stadium last season.

With the playoff loss, the Cowboys have now lost four in a row at home. Before that, the team had won 16 straight games at home, which was the second-longest run in the history of the franchise.

QB Dak Prescott said after the loss, “I’m not a guy to hit the panic button.” “You never plan for something like that to happen… like it did today at home.” Putting three down at home, where we’ve been great.

Dallas won’t play in Week 7 because it’s a bye week. They will play again on Oct. 27 on Sunday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers. McCarthy might not have a job after the season ends if the Cowboys don’t fix things quickly.

Diggs confronts reporter following 49ers vs. Cowboys game regarding Kittle’s performance

On Sunday night at Levi’s Stadium, the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 30-24 thanks to huge games from George Kittle and Isaac Guerendo.

After suffering yet another slow loss to the 49ers on “Sunday Night Football” at Levi’s Stadium, Trevon Diggs and the Dallas Cowboys were understandably emotional.

Diggs stormed out of the locker room following the 30-24 loss to confront Mike Leslie, a Dallas reporter, over a post on X (previously Twitter). Leslie had questioned Diggs’ actions on a crucial third-quarter play.

“Is that all you gleaned from it?” “Leslie,” Diggs told her. “That was your takeaway from the entire play?” Football isn’t your game. There is nothing you can do that I can’t. You must take action or perish.

“Remain where you are, my friend. Dog, you’re wasting your time attempting to conquer me.

Standing with other members of the media, Leslie replied to Diggs.

According to Leslie, Trevon was merely being asked a question. “Having you respond to the question makes me happy, I suppose.”

How about this for an answer from Diggs: “That’s all you gleaned from the whole play?” Is that all it yielded for you? Is that all you managed to glean from that play?

Lead the 49ers to a miraculous comeback victory by getting “real” with himself.

As the discussion progressed, Leslie sought clarification on his first inquiry.

“We can discuss it more,” Leslie remarked. “What were you doing?”

Diggs continued to remain silent during the debate, interjecting, “talk about deez nuts,” before finally leaving.

This particular play occurred in the third quarter and involved a short throw completion to 49ers tight end George Kittle, who rushed the ball 43 yards before being tackled at the Dallas 4-yard line.

Diggs and Malik Hooker drove Kittle out of bounds after other Dallas defenders failed to stop him on the run. Diggs can be seen jogging alongside them throughout the play.

However, the argument escalated because Diggs allegedly didn’t like Leslie’s inquisitiveness.

On the following play, the 49ers took a 13-10 lead thanks to rookie running back Isaac Guerendo’s first NFL score, which was set up by Kittle’s huge play. The Cowboys’ annoyance was clear throughout the game, but the 49ers went on to win 30-24.
