Wataru Endo captained Japan as they progressed to the quarter-finals of the Asian Cup by using beating Bahrain 3-1 on Wednesday.
Liverpool midfielder Endo started and finished the last-16 tie in Doha, which was once won by means of dreams from Ritsu Doan, Takefusa Kubo and Ayase Ueda.
