The NBA Trade Idea Illustrates the Way Forward for the Detroit Pistons to Acquire a $215 Million Star

In a scenario in which the Detroit Pistons seek to speed up the rebuilding process, they will start searching for blockbuster trades earlier rather than later in order to acquire elite players to slot next to Cade Cunningham.

The current status of the trade market is not much different from the one it was in in previous years. The New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram and the Chicago Bulls forward Zach LaVine are the two prospects that are considered to be the best in the beginning of December.

With Ingram recently suffering an ankle injury, his short-term future is unclear. As for LaVine, he’s healthy and putting together an intriguing case for an interested suitor to come and get him.

If—and big if—the Pistons want to pursue the $215 million man at this time, how could they get it done?
