BREAKING: Zack Baun, a former Saint, is back in New Orleans with a vengeance and may even take a ring with him
Baun’s transformation from an afterthought in New Orleans to a key playmaker in Philadelphia was remarkable.
Zack Baun had never expected to return to the Superdome in such a way. When he last played on this field, he was a New Orleans Saint who struggled to fit in with a defence that didn’t know how to use him. He now wears midnight green and stands under the bright lights of Super Bowl LIX, as a key piece of the Eagles’ dominant defence.
Baun feels a sense of completion. After being draughted by the Saints in 2020, he spent four years adjusting to his new surroundings. They considered him an edge rusher, but something never clicked. After signing with the Eagles in 2024, he transitioned to off-ball linebacker and realised his full potential. After a career-best season, he now has a chance to cap it off with a Super Bowl ring.
Massive police operation! New Orleans is ready for NFL Honours 2025.

The transition was immediate. Baun excelled in coverage under defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, earning the highest coverage grade among NFL linebackers, according to Pro Football Focus. He led the Eagles with 150 tackles and had five forced fumbles, tied for second-most in the league. He received his first Pro Bowl selection, was named an All-Pro, and was a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year. All unexpected, but well deserved.
102-year-old diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan reveals why she has never missed a game… and her four tips for a long life
Eloise Brown has witnessed all four NFL championships won by the Philadelphia Eagles, including three before the Super Bowl.
Brown, a 102-year-old diehard Eagles fan who has spent her entire life in America’s first capital, has never missed a game for her favourite team, which she predates in Philadelphia by 11 years.
Brown has remained loyal to the Eagles despite the presence of the Phillies, Flyers, 76ers, and Union, as well as Drexel, cheesesteaks, and other local attractions.
‘I am a Pennsylvanian. “It’s my state and city,” she told TODAY.com.
Brown, who is not related to Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown, has met several current Eagles players and head coach Nick Sirianni.
The second-century football fan also gave her four trips to ensure a long and prosperous life.

Super Bowl odds.
Kansas City Chiefs: -120.
Philadelphia Eagles: +102.
Saquon Barkley -190, Jalen Hurts -115, Travis Kelce +125, and Xavier Worthy +150 are the top touchdown scorers at any time.
Odds provided by FanDuel are accurate at the time of publication.
Brown’s four tips are to drink water, be active, have strong values, and stay positive.
Brown says she exercises by walking for 30 minutes around her neighbourhood every day when it’s not too cold outside.
Brown’s three core values are ‘faith, family, and football.’
You want to blame everyone for what’s going on, but then you look at yourself and say, “Wait a minute. Am I treating this person correctly?”‘ Brown spoke of her personal philosophy.
Brown’s belief in staying positive has never wavered. That includes after the Washington Commanders defeated the Eagles during the regular season, and the team exacted revenge in the NFC Championship Game last month.
‘I’m not in charge of anything, but usually I’ll close my eyes, say a few words, and OOP! They win,’ Brown explained.
Brown will be glued to her television screen as the Eagles face the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Sunday night, hoping to prevent Travis Kelce and his team from becoming the first team to win three consecutive NFL championships since she was in her mid-40s.
