The Monster Energy Supercross track at the renowned Daytona International Speedway, which will host the eighth round of the season on March 1, 2025, was designed by Ricky Carmichael for the 18th year in a row. In its 84th year, Daytona Beach’s Bike Week will once more feature the 55th Supercross race.

According to a press release from Daytona International Speedway, “It’s an honour to have Ricky Carmichael, the GOAT of Supercross, design the course for Daytona Supercross once again.” “Ricky is unparalleled in his ability to design a track that tests the riders and gives the spectators an experience they won’t soon forget. Combining those components will undoubtedly result in another unforgettable show at Daytona International Speedway.

The course is distinguished by three long straightaways, the always difficult sand section, and a sharp right-hand corner off the gate. The renowned oval’s front stretch is one continuous run.

Carmichael added a split lane to improve passing opportunities.

Regarding his invention, Carmichael remarked, “I tell you what, the split lane is always a lot of fun.” “We put a lot of effort into making it fair and providing riders with a wide range of choices. With the right-hand turn and a totally different track design than what we’ve seen in previous years, I’m excited for this year’s design and think it will be a lot of fun.

After the fierce, fast-paced Daytona 200 race, which takes place from March 6-8, and the Daytona Short Track, which takes place from March 6-7, Bike Week is a ten-day motorbike celebration that begins on February 28 and runs through March 9, 2025.For the upcoming three years, MotoAmerica has extended its commitment to the Daytona 200.
