Season 7 of ‘Drive to Survive’ has a release date on Netflix, following F1’s most entertaining title fight in years (story by Lily Ford)
The new season will undoubtedly focus on Charles Leclerc’s victory in his native Monaco, Lando Norris’s failure to win his first World Drivers Championship, and Lewis Hamilton’s surprise move to Ferrari.
The new series of Drive to Survive will premiere on March 7. Set your alarm clocks.
Netflix announced on Friday that the seventh season of Formula 1, a documentary-style show featuring the sport’s top stars, will premiere in one month, just in time for the start of the 2025 season.
“New season, new rivalries,” Netflix’s X account wrote in a post.
Since its 2019 release, Formula 1: Drive to Survive has received critical acclaim, with many crediting the series’ success for attracting hundreds of thousands of new fans. The program follows 10 teams competing for the Constructor’s Championship and 20 drivers, including Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, and Lando Norris, competing for the driver’s prize.

I have consistently dominated, awarding Verstappen four consecutive World Drivers’ Championships. However, things began to change in the second half of last season, when Norris and the McLaren team fought back and increased the pressure. While Verstappen retained the Drivers’ Championship, McLaren won the Constructor’s Championship.
The seventh season will undoubtedly highlight Leclerc’s victory in his native Monaco, Norris’ first WDC, and Carlos Sainz’s search for an F1 seat following Hamilton’s surprise move to Ferrari.
Netflix viewership figures from last year showed that 2.9 million people watched the sixth season during the first three days of February 2024.
Netflix has attempted to replicate the success of Drive to Survive with sports shows such as Full Swing and Break Point.
