The former Aggies tight end was taken aback by the university’s unique recognition. Campbell was awarded the 2025 Lifetime Achievement award by the Lettermen’s Association.

He arrived on campus during the penultimate season of Texas A&M’s affiliation with the Southwestern Conference. In 1995, the SWC was formally abolished. In 1995, Campbell participated in 11 games.
