Angel Reese’s official All-Star Game vote total goes viral
Angel Reese’s Official All-Star Game Voting Total Goes Viral first appeared on The Spun.
While fans are still reeling at the number of votes Indiana Fever player Caitlin Clark received for the WNBA All-player Game, many were stunned this week to see how many votes Chicago Sky star Angel Reese garnered as well.
In the fan voting, Reese rated fifth among frontcourt players, after only Napheesa Collier, A’ja Wilson, Brenna Stewart, and Aliyah Boston. However, her vote position among the media and even other WNBA players was considerably more surprising.
Reese finished ranked 12th by both the media and her fellow WNBA players. He weighted score ended up being 7.75, tying her with Kiki Iriafen and keeping her from starting on the WNBA All-Star team.
However, Reese is still extremely likely to make the roster as a reserve.

Reese garnered 506,741 votes from fans. Only nine other players garnered more than half a million votes.
However, Reese garnered less than 40% of her opponent Caitlin Clark’s 1.29 million votes. To be honest, no WNBA player was within 100,000 votes of the Indiana Fever superstar.

However, WNBA fans were a little more captivated by Reese’s rank among media and other players than among fans.
“Angel Reese supporters should be more than a little disappointed—after all the glazing, both the Media and Player polls rated her 12th. Given how she’s performing *right now*, she’s in the top five of the bigs; I’d rank her fourth behind Boston, Collier, and Wilson. “And I’m a staunch critic,” one person said on X.
“Forget Caitlin—Kiki Irifafen over Aliyah Boston and Angel Reese?” Kelsey Plum, 16th? Britney Sykes, the ft merchant, and Tash Cloud: who had a nice week? Nah… player voting should be removed,” commented another.
“Angel Reese will never be the WNBA MVP, nor will Caitlin Clark; not because she does not deserve it, but because they just will not vote for Caitlin, even though it is evident she should be the MVP. “Angel has started playing better, and I will give her that,” a third wrote.
Is Angel Reese’s popularity declining among her peers?
