Anthony Elanga completed his Newcastle physical on Wednesday after agreeing to a £52 million fee with Nottingham Forest.

The winger arrived at Newcastle’s private airport on Tuesday evening to meet with his new team and begin medical testing.

Newcastle and Nottingham Forest have agreed on a transaction that could be worth up to £55 million.

They will make a guaranteed initial payment of £52 million, with the possibility of an additional £3 million in performance-based bonuses.

Elanga scored six goals and assisted 11 times in the Premier League for Nottingham Forest last season, helping the club secure European status for the upcoming season.

Newcastle will sign Elanga as their second winger this summer, following the free acquisition of Antonio Cordero from Malaga. Cordero, an 18-year-old Spanish player, will be sent out.
