Rodri issues warning to Arsenal before of Manchester City match
Manchester City star Rodri has warned Arsenal that his squad would go all out for victory in Sunday’s heavyweight Premier League clash.
Reigning champions Liverpool have set a blistering pace at the top of the league and might open up a considerable lead over their most likely title contenders if they extend their winning streak against Everton on Saturday.
A new look. City stuttered in the early weeks of the season, with consecutive defeats to Tottenham and Brighton raising major worries.
Pep Guardiola’s side has stepped up the pace again since the international break, with victories over Manchester United and Napoli indicating that it is far too early to write them off.
A journey to the Emirates, on the other hand, is likely to be a litmus test for their credentials, considering Arsenal’s dominance and almost impenetrable defence.
The Gunners have won the last two encounters in north London, with last season’s incident-packed 5-1 victory being one of Mikel Arteta’s high points.
Rodri missed that game due to a catastrophic knee injury incurred in the reverse fixture over a year ago, but he says the battering his team received in February will have no bearing on how City approaches Sunday’s rematch.

He stated, ‘We’re going with the mindset of winning there. I don’t care about what happened last season. We have the ability to go there and show off our best form.
‘We know they’re a terrific squad; they reformed the team every year with incredible acquisitions, and they’re only getting better.
‘It’s the start of the season, but going there and winning at home will send a positive message. So, this is our thinking.
Bernardo Silva, Rodri’s teammate, shared same comments, referring to Arsenal as title rivals.
He stated: ‘They’re certainly a quality squad, one of the contenders.
“Beginning of the season… three points, but it’s an important game because it’s not only three points you can win, but three points you can potentially take from a Premier League contender.”
