The post Thunder’s Aaron Wiggins snaps Tyrese Haliburton’s ankles with sick crossover appeared first on ClutchPoints.

The Oklahoma City Thunder went into Game 2 of the 2025 NBA Finals against the Indiana Pacers determined not only to level the series, but also to get revenge for the terrible loss they suffered at the hands of the visitors in Game 1.

The Thunder made a huge statement in the first half of Sunday night’s game at Paycom Center, taking an 18-point lead before the end of the second.

Oklahoma City scored 59 points in the first half, including three from Thunder shooting guard Aaron Wiggins. Wiggins stunned Haliburton with a step-back play and finished with a splash from behind the arc.

Wiggins’ move created a sensation on social media.

“Aaron Wiggins just fried Haliburton😭😭,” wrote a fan on X (previously Twitter).

“Haliburton got caught slipping lol Wiggins had them 🛼 for a sec lol,” commented another fan.

According to another X user, “Haliburton gets smoked by Aaron Wiggins.” “This guy is a bad player who gets lucky breaks.”

Others have sent Richard Jefferson flowers for his call on Wiggins’ move on Haliburton.

Aaron Wiggins shines brighter than Haliburton! 🔥” Richard Jefferson is delivering literary gems on the mic—can’t quit giggling 😂 This game just got far more fun!” I commented on a social media user.

“Aaron Wiggins saw what Andrew Nembhard did to Shai and figured now was the time to mix Tyrese Haliburton in retaliation!” Another person spoke.

Wiggins had a dismal performance in Game 1, scoring only three points on two field goal attempts in nine minutes. However, in Game 2, the Thunder appeared to give him a more prominent role, as he was one of the contest’s major surprises.

Wiggins, a Maryland Terrapins basketball player, scored eight points with two three-pointers and was a plus-17 in Game 2’s first half. Indiana’s defense will constantly focus on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but Wiggins’ contributions let the Thunder to function more efficiently on offense. Oklahoma City selected Wiggins in the second round of the 2021 NBA draft, and he concluded Game 2 with 18 points on 6-for-11 shooting, five of which were threes.

Wiggins entered Game 2 of the 2025 NBA Playoffs averaging only 5.9 points in 16 games.
