Arsenal responds to Real Madrid transfer raid with update on Bukayo Saka
As the Gunners get ready to face Bournemouth on Saturday in their first match back from the international break, manager Mikel Arteta is worried about the availability of several key players.
In the midst of Arsenal’s injury problems, Mikel Arteta may finally breathe easy as the international break draws to a close.
A lot of Arteta players are sidelined with injuries heading into Saturday’s match against Bournemouth. Bukayo Saka may yet be fit to play against the Cherries, even if he was substituted early in England’s loss to Greece.
It seems like Arteta has some good news: Three Lions leader Lee Carsley has released an updated report on the winger’s fitness. William Saliba’s future is uncertain, but the Gunners are taking it easy despite Real Madrid’s interest in the defender.
Los Blancos may consider Saka a priority target, however, so they have been warned. Mirror Football compiles all the most recent Arsenal news here.
Injury update on Saka
Despite not being included to the England team due to injury, Bukayo Saka seems to be in good enough shape to play in Saturday’s encounter against Bournemouth for Arsenal. Saka was returned to Arsenal after being released and will not be attending Sunday’s Nations League match in Finland.
It was thought that he would not be able to play when Arsenal returned to action on the coast. It seems like Saka is fit to play against Bournemouth, according to a new report from England’s interim coach Lee Carsley.
It would have been unjust to take a chance with Bukayo, Carsley argued before the Finland game. “I have faith in him because he is an optimistic person. He will be OK.”

Rumor has it that Real Madrid is planning to make a bid for Arsenal’s standout player Saka. Darren Bent, a former star for Tottenham, thinks Madrid will develop an interest in the England international winger, who has become one of the Gunners’ most crucial players.
Very seldom do Real Madrid really pursue a player and fail to sign them. Bent told talkSPORT that, typically, they prepare for it a few years in advance.
“It’s important, it really must be. I don’t see Arsenal going anywhere as long as they keep improving and winning championships; Saka is another one you’re worried about.
Gunners address Saliba’s concern
Despite Real Madrid’s interest in William Saliba, Arsenal is certain that the Frenchman will remain with the club for the foreseeable future. Saliba is said to be a top target for Los Blancos during the next summer transfer window.
The defender has remained dedicated to the Gunners since signing a hefty four-year deal in north London in 2023, and he expects them to keep challenging for trophies under Mikkel Arteta.
The Gunners have no intention of considering any further transfer offers for the 23-year-old because they see him as untouchable. Any speculation about a possible link to Paris Saint-Germain is likewise premature.
