The move from Norwich to Rangers is hard for Kieran Dowell.

After John Lundstram and Ryan Jack left because their contracts were up, Clement doesn’t have a lot of midfield options, though a deal for Connor Barron could happen soon. But, like Jack, it hasn’t mattered much if Dowell was in the squad or not because he hasn’t been fit to play.

Injuries don’t affect anyone more than the player who gets hurt, but Rangers have had more of a problem with them lately than most teams.

Dowell was a signing by Michael Beale, and when a new manager takes over, players that were brought in by the previous manager may not be available. Since he was a free agent, it might not take a huge offer to get him.

Although Connor Barron won’t get an insanely high signing-on bonus like Kylian Mbappe does when he joins Real Madrid (£85 million), Rangers also wouldn’t be able to just grab the highly-rated midfielder without spending a dime.

The Daily Record says that Rangers would still have to pay Aberdeen a fee, but it would be a lot less than what the player is worth on the market. Rangers could be taken to court if they can’t agree on a fee. Barron is now free to sign a contract at Ibrox.

 

To get Connor Barron, the Rangers want to win the race.

There is a “strong offer” for Barron to move to Glasgow, and he is likely to decide next week. In the English Championship, Swansea City, Cardiff, Stoke, and Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle are all fans of him.

Italy is also interested. Bologna, which is going to the Champions League, wants to get into Scottish football again after the success of Aaron Hickey and Lewis Ferguson as captain.

After that, no one knows where Barron is working in 2024 or 25. Would Barron choose the Rangers? If so, he would do what Scott Wright and Ryan Jack did. It looks like he will be a good fit to replace the latter, since the former Aberdeen captain is leaving the team, making room for an aggressive, all-around central midfielder like Barron.

Barry Ferguson, who has led Rangers to five Scottish Premiership titles, would love to see one of the best young players in the country follow in his royal blue footsteps.

After all, Ferguson has criticised his old team for not making better use of local talent, since Josh Doig, Hickey, and his nephew Lewis all left Scotland to play for other teams.

As the race to sign Barron heats up, Ferguson now tells Go Radio, “I think he’s a good young player.”

Yilmaz’s agent, Necdet Ergezen, told Gokmen Ozcan on June 10 that the player has no plans to go back to Turkey right now, which suggests he would be willing to stay at Ibrox.

It looks like Rangers will have to pay around £7.7 million to get Penarol midfielder Damian Garcia.

Ibrox wanted to sign the 20-year-old player, according to a report from Football Scotland on June 5th. It is likely that Nils Koppen had talks to sign him in Cancun.

But if Gers still want to sign him this summer, things will be harder because Dario Alberti says he will sign a new deal that lasts until 2026.

Trying to get Damian Garcia doesn’t fit with the Rangers’ plan for making transfers.

Gers should instead focus on talented people who have already been around for a while.

The club doesn’t have a lot of money to spend on transfers, and it would be a waste to spend a lot of it on a player who is still learning the game.

There are probably cheaper options that can help the first team right away.

One more thing that needs to be thought about is Philippe Clement’s suggestions. If he can’t take the club to the next level, he will be held accountable.

There have been several public statements by Sima saying that he would like to stay at Rangers if an agreement can be reached between the two clubs.

If Hurzeler doesn’t think Sima is ready to play in the Premier League, and the player has made it clear that he feels at home at Rangers, Brighton could choose to exercise his contract option and let him come back on a second loan deal, unless they get a better offer from somewhere else.

As a result, the English club is almost certain to get a new manager, which will be a big step towards Sima finding out where he will play next season.
