On Sunday afternoon, the Washington Commanders secured yet another dramatic victory by defeating the Philadelphia Eagles, the division’s rivals, with a final score of 33-36 at Northwest Stadium.

The Commanders recovered in the fourth quarter after committing five turnovers. Jayden Daniels, a rookie quarterback, accomplished five touchdown passes, one of which was a nine-yard strike to Jamison Crowder in the final seconds of the contest.

The Commanders secured their tenth victory of the 2024 season with this touchdown completion, which gave them the lead.

Daniels concluded the contest with 257 passing yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions on 24/39 passing. In the first quarter, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was forced to depart the game due to a concussion. He was substituted by primary backup Kenny Pickett.

With this victory, the Commanders improve to 10-5 on the 2024 season and reduce the Eagles’ lead in the NFC East. With two weeks remaining in the regular season, Washington is currently two games behind in the division.

This 10-5 record represents the franchise’s most successful start since 1991.

“10-5 START FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1991,” the Commanders wrote on X following Sunday’s exhilarating conclusion.

In Week 17, the Eagles defeated Washington, which concluded its 1991 regular season with a 14-2 record. The franchise subsequently dominated the postseason, defeating the Falcons, Lions, and Bills on its way to a Super Bowl XXVI victory.
