Dan Campbell provides a positive injury report for Sam LaPorta, a tight end
In Week 11 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Detroit Lions were missing tight end Sam LaPorta, but they didn’t really miss him as their offence amassed 645 total yards in a 52-6 victory.
Head coach Dan Campbell immediately suggested that LaPorta would miss Week 11 due to a strained AC joint in his left shoulder sustained during Week 10 versus the Houston Texans. Last week, LaPorta did not practise at all, and it was always certain that he would be benched against the Jaguars.
During his news conference on Wednesday, Campbell was inevitably questioned about LaPorta as the Lions begin their week of preparation for their Week 12 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.
“I think it’s trending, it’s questionable to above for LaPorta,” Campbell stated. “I think it’s trending the right way.”
The Lions’ tight end room without Sam LaPorta is praised by Dan Campbell.
In Week 11, Brock Wright, Shane Zylstra, and James Mitchell filled in at tight end for the Lions in LaPorta’s absence. Alongside the LaPorta question, Campbell was also questioned about the performance of that trio versus the Jaguars without LaPorta.
“Yeah, those guys didn’t miss a beat.”James Mitchell was removed from the practice squad. He arrived and performed for us. I believed I played a good game. He’s played for us previously, so it wasn’t too huge for him. “That was excellent,” Campbell said. “Dude, I thought Brock did the heavy lifting for us. He had to do a wide range of tasks and played a lot of snaps and repetitions. He performs the grunt work, the run game, and the protection, as we all know; his protection was excellent. After then, Zylstra has become a kind of need for us for the past four weeks or so. simply goes about his business and does his duties in silence.
Campbell pointed out that Wednesday was the only walkthrough the Lions had. LaPorta’s degree of involvement on Thursday, when practice ramps up to usual, will thus be more indicative of his ability to play on Sunday. However, it’s excellent to be on the plus-side of doubtful (“questionable or above”), as LaPorta was noted as a full participant in Wednesday’s anticipated practice report.
Fans respond to NFL reporter Melanie Collins’ post about the Lions’ victory
NFL reporter Melanie Collins was the talk of the town after her coverage of Week 11’s lopsided win by the Detroit Lions against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
With 644 yards of offence, the Lions set a new franchise record in Sunday’s 52-6 victory. They also set a new record for most winning margin with a 46-point triumph.
Collins made sure to rejoice after watching the remarkable milestone live. She interviewed Lions quarterback Jared Goff and head coach Dan Campbell, and she posted a number of Instagram photos demonstrating the interviews.
The greatest offensive performance in @detroitlionsnfl history—644 yards of total offense—was there in front of my nose! Collins credited Week 11 in the caption.
She rocked the denim trend with incredible flare while dressed identically.
An on-trend dark-washed denim jacket with contrast stitching was worn by the NFL sideline reporter. It was the perfect complement to her figure-flattering kick-flare jeans.
Happy Jewellers’ layered accessories and Collins’s nude shoes were the finishing touches on her ensemble.
Her beautiful appearance was praised by admirers in the comments area.
Fantastic garments! Enjoy it a lot! Hot and powerful! “Detroit, I won!” someone said.
“I desire the link to this outfit! It’s totally on point!” “Exceptional,” chimed in a second observer.
The sentiments of the second admirer who gushed, “Hottest girl. Period.” are identical.
Aditi Kinkhabwala, another journalist, couldn’t help but swoon about Collins’ whole atmosphere. “I adore this suit!” she said. As well as you!
Commenter Erin Alvey, a singer-songwriter in her own right, chimed in with the words “Okay, CUTE CUTE CUTE.”
Since joining CBS in June 2018, the 38-year-old journalist has swiftly become a mainstay in the network’s NFL coverage.
Collins has a dual profession as a broadcaster and an entrepreneur with her own interior design firm.
