Detroit Lions WR and University City HS alum Tim Patrick returns home, hosts youth skills camp at UCHS

KUSI (San Diego) – University City High School is hosting a special homecoming.

Tim Patrick, a Detroit Lions wide receiver and UCHS alum, is holding a free youth skills camp to pay it forward.

“San Diego isn’t always seen as a football city, I just felt like it just put a chip on my shoulder.. and to let people know dogs really come out of San Diego,” Patrick told me.

Patrick recently signed a one-year contract after helping the Lions reach the postseason in 2024, hauling in three touchdowns and 33 receptions.

“Everyone here today is someone I grew up with or went to school with. I wanted to make the first camp ‘San Diego’, rather than just having all of my NFL pals here… so everyone you see working. I either attended middle school, high school, or played football with them. So this one is quite nostalgic.”

Ragnow, 29, expressed on social media that he has attempted to persuade himself that he is in good enough health to participate, but he is not.
