Donovan Mitchell would gladly welcome LeBron James back to the Cavs, saying, “It’s LeBron James, right?”
Donovan Mitchell said he’d obviously be excited about the chance to play alongside LeBron James on the Cleveland Cavaliers, calling it special as a longtime LeBron fan. Still, he emphasized that any potential reunion isn’t in his control and isn’t where his attention is right now.
Mitchell made it clear his priority is winning a championship with the current roster. While rumors about LeBron possibly leaving the Los Angeles Lakers continue to circulate, Mitchell said he’s focused on what he can control — helping his team compete for a title. He acknowledged LeBron’s greatness, saying, “It’s LeBron James, right?” but reiterated that speculation about the future won’t distract him from the present goal of chasing a ring with his current teammates.
