Lamont Butler Optimistic About Return After Shoulder Injury
By Nathan Beighle | February 10, 2025
San Diego State guard Lamont Butler is eager to get back on the court after dealing with a shoulder injury. The senior leader, known for his lockdown defense and clutch performances, remains optimistic about his recovery and ability to stay healthy for the rest of the season.
Butler’s injury had raised concerns for the Aztecs, who rely on his leadership and two-way play. However, his recent updates suggest he is progressing well and ready to contribute again. “I’m excited to be back on the hardwood,” Butler said. “I feel good and believe I’ll be able to stay out there.”
His return comes at a crucial time for SDSU as they gear up for the final stretch of the season and look to solidify their position for the NCAA Tournament. Butler’s presence will provide a significant boost on both ends of the floor, particularly with his defensive intensity and ability to control the pace of the game.
While the Aztecs have managed to stay competitive in his absence, having Butler back in action is a major advantage. If he can maintain his health and rhythm, San Diego State will be even more dangerous heading into March Madness.
For now, Butler remains focused on staying healthy and helping his team in any way possible. His resilience and positive attitude suggest that he’s ready to make an impact once again.
