On Saturday, the University of Louisville basketball staff is slated to entertain a pair of high-profile prospects at the KFC Yum Centre.

Jaxon Richardson, a four-star forward in the Class of 2026, and Jaylan Mitchell, a five-star forward in the Class of 2027, are anticipated to conduct unofficial visits to the University of Louisville. The prospects will gather at the Yum Centre to witness the Louisville-Florida State game.

Both prospects are ranked among the top 25 prospects in their respective classes.

Richardson, a 6-foot-6, 200-pound wing from Miami, Florida, attends Columbus High School. He is the son of former Michigan State and NBA great Jason Richardson. He is also the younger brother of Jase Richardson, a current Michigan State guard. His father won two NBA dunk contests.

According to 247Sports, Richardson is the No. 19 player in the class of ’26. He is ranked fourth in Florida and sixth in the class among small forwards. The prospect ranks No. 25 in the 247Sports Composite Ranking.

He went to Michigan last fall and was just at USC for a game. Alabama, Cincinnati, Florida, Georgia, and Seton Hall are all actively recruiting him.

Mitchell, who stands 6-foot-7 and weighs 220-pounds, attends Evansville, Indiana’s Reitz and is the best player in the Hoosier State’s ’27 class.

Mitchell has attended a game at Illinois this season and has paid an unofficial visit to Kentucky. He’s been hearing from other institutions, like Indiana and Notre Dame, and he already has a double-digit amount of scholarships.

He had a fantastic summer last year playing with Brad Beal Elite on the Nike AAU tour. Mitchell is a five-star recruit who is ranked No. 4 in the ’27 class by 247Sports Composite Rankings, and the No. 2 power forward. In the 247Sports Rankings, he is ranked 12th and the third-best power forward.
