Mikaela Shiffrin has reacted to her fiancé Aleksander Aamodt Kilde’s attendance at the premiere of Downhill Skiers – Ain’t No Mountain Steep Enough. The ski documentary premiered in Vienna’s Gartenbaukino.

The ski documentary will be released on October 23, 2025, in Austria. The premiere, held at Vienna’s Gartenbaukino, was attended by several notable downhill athletes, including former skier Franz Klammer and current competitors Vincent Kriechmayr, Dominik Paris, Justin Murisier, and Marco Odermatt.

How Mikaela Shiffrin Responded to Fiancé Kilde’s Post About Attending Downhill Skier’s Premiere

In a recent Instagram post, Norwegian World Cup skier Kilde expressed gratitude after spending the evening with fellow skiers, describing the night as ‘full of memories’. He captioned his post:

“A night filled with memories. It was fantastic to spend this memorable night with these amazing folks. 😎”

Shiffrin, his fiancée, commented on this post with “😍😍😍”

While Kilde hopes to return for the 2025-26 season after being sidelined for surgeries following a life-threatening crash at a World Cup downhill race in Switzerland’s Wengen on January 18, 2024, Shiffrin had a successful season, winning her 100th World Cup race and finishing the 2024-25 season with 101 World Cup victories.

The two had been in a long-distance romance but were reunited following the conclusion of the World Cup circuit. Shiffrin and Kilde spent time together during Oakley’s 50th anniversary celebration, and Shiffrin helped Kilde prepare for the season in Chile.

Shiffrin’s fiance celebrated her 100th World Cup win with a heartfelt post.

Kilde wrote a poignant statement after the American ski racer achieved history by winning her 100th World Cup slalom event on February 23rd, this year in Sestriere. Croatia’s Zrinka Ljutic finished second, with fellow American athlete Paula Moltzan coming in third.

Kilde shared a heartfelt Instagram post, emphasising her personal characteristics and humility over her achievements.

“Sorry Mikaela, I know you hate the GOAT talk, but sometimes your man should be allowed to brag. 🐐” Today marks your 100th World Cup triumph – awesome! I’m really proud of you, and good luck to anybody tries to follow that record. 😆 But what shines out even more is who you are every day, which is far more important than any number of achievements. As you best say, “it’s just a number.”

Kilde also revealed that he witnessed his fiancée’s accomplishment from a hospital bed while undergoing surgery. Notably, the 33-year-old has won two Olympic medals: silver in the combined event and bronze in the Super-G. In addition, he has 21 World Cup podium finishes, with 12 wins in Downhill and 9 in Super-G.
