Mikaela Shiffrin reacts as Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc make their debut appearance as teammates for Ferrari
Mikaela Shiffrin recently commented on Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc’s look as Ferrari teammates. The skier has recently completed her World Championship campaign.
On February 19, Hamilton and Leclerc made their public debuts as Ferrari teammates at the F1 75 Live event at the O2 Arena. They were accompanied by Team Principal Fred Vasseur and CEO Benedetto Vigna. Scuderia Ferrari is currently preparing for the 2025 Formula One season, with a new chassis and an intriguing pairing of Leclerc and Hamilton.
Formula 1 posted a video of their debut together on X, writing:
“Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.” Together in front of the world as Ferrari teammates! 😍”
This premiere drew the attention of American skier Shiffrin, who responded to it on her X account with a ‘eyes’ emoticon.

The 29-year-old just returned to the sport following a terrible incident in December 2024 at a World Cup giant slalom competition in Killington. However, since her comeback, she has voiced worry over her performances, and in an interview with Audi FIS Ski World Cup, she stated that she did not want to burden her colleagues.
“I didn’t want to feel like a burden to any of my teammates; I’d have been pleased and glad to start with any of them. But I didn’t want to be the weak link and be vulnerable to them. And for Breezy to say no, there is no pressure. “I have no expectations,” stated Mikaela Shiffrin.
Mikaela Shiffrin spoke up about earning the gold medal in the combined team event at the World Championships.
Mikaela Shiffrin competed in the World Championships’ debut combined team event, partnering with Breezy Johnson, a lifelong comrade. They put on an incredible performance and won gold, Shiffrin’s 15th record-breaking gold medal and Johnson’s second at the tournament.
After the victory, the American shared her emotions, describing her amazing recovery from injuries.
“I’m moving forward from Saalbach 2025 with a few simple takeaways: just getting here, period, has been a massive success, borderline miraculous,” said Mikaela Shiffrin.
She also stated that the triumph with Johnson beyond her wildest expectations, and she expressed her thanks for being a member of the team.
“Winning Gold in Team Combined with Breezy is beyond my wildest expectations for these weeks. My colleagues are fantastic (we already knew this 🤩)! Their achievements, medals won, and the courage and dedication that each of them has brought to this season and Worlds have been inspiring. “I’m grateful to be part of this team 🥹.”
