Mikaela Shiffrin responds in three words as she continues her preparation following the selection of the USA skiing team for 2025-26
Mikaela Shiffrin has delivered a three-word message as she continues her preparations for the 2025–26 season. The formal start of the season is just a few weeks away, and she will try to add more World Cup wins to her existing count of 101, as well as targeting Winter Olympics glory at Milan Cortina.
She began working out and training on the slopes a few months ago for the upcoming season and has kept the same program a few days after her name was announced for the US ski team for the 2025–26 season.
Shiffrin shared photos from her recent training sessions on Instagram. In addition to Shiffrin, several of her US colleagues were photographed, including Paula Moltzan and Katie Hensien. She also placed a three-word statement in the description of the post, stating:
“The preparation continues…😅”
Mikaela Shiffrin has attended media sessions for Atomic Ski in Europe, where she reunited with her fiancé, Norwegian skier Aleksander Kilde, in addition to practicing on the slopes.

Mikaela Shiffrin shared her thoughts on the forthcoming 2025-26 skiing season. The two-time Olympic gold medallist has already been working hard to prepare for the season, but she is still worried about the official races.
Shiffrin stated in an interview that she is excited about the races, and that her training has been quite productive in recent weeks. She also noted that when the season approaches, she would need to speed up her practice even more. She said (via FIS Alpine from 00:32 onwards):
“I feel energised for the season, but I’m also nervous. I don’t feel ready to race yet, but I feel good and am getting closer, and some of my training in recent weeks has been quite strong. So now all I have to do is keep repeating, practicing, and training more. I’m not sure, just keep getting more, and the next stage is racing, which is now time to do. So, I’m both excited and nervous.
Mikaela Shiffrin discussed her off-season activities with her family and fiancé, as well as her training on the slopes.

He believes that covering collegiate events, similar to what is done in the United States, could be an effective approach to bridge the coverage gap during the Olympics’ off season.
When he’s not covering the newest Olympic news, Soumik enjoys playing cricket and watching films.
