Eddie Howe intends to make Nick Wolte a star at Newcastle United.

The 23-year-old was brought in to replace Alexander Isak and cost £69 million during the summer transfer window.

He is Newcastle’s most expensive signing, and had a successful debut on Saturday.

Nick Woltemade’s debut goal secured Newcastle’s victory over Wolves, quieting critics.

Eddie Howe will be thrilled with Woltemade’s debut, but the best is still to come.

Nick Woltemade understands Eddie Howe can take him to the ‘next level’.

Woltemade anticipates a positive relationship with Newcastle United manager despite his recent arrival at St James’ Park.

During an interview on Sky Sports’ One on One podcast, Woltemade was asked if he is thrilled to work with Howe, who has a history of improving players.

“That’s the point, why I wanted to go to Newcastle,” he told me.

“I’ve heard that a lot. My conversations with him have been quite positive. I knew from away that he had the potential to take me to new heights.

“It will undoubtedly be hard labour. But if we work together, I believe this might be a great fit.”

Nick Wolte created copies of Jacob Ramsey after Newcastle United’s summer recruitment push.

Newcastle United signed six senior players, including Woltemade, making him their largest acquisition of the summer.

Despite the Isak problem, it turned out to be an excellent transfer window. Howe’s squad is significantly stronger, and he has players that are eager to play for him and represent the club.

This is due to the club’s history, as well as Howe’s managerial abilities. Woltemade said this on the One on One podcast, and Jacob Ramsey was also encouraged to join Newcastle for similar reasons.

Ramsey praised Howe’s ability to develop players after he joined from Aston Villa and expressed his ambition to play for England.

“I’m not an England international at the moment,” replied the player.

“But if you look at the squad, the players who joined the club were not England internationals. The manager developed them into much better players, and they went on to represent their countries. That’s the important point.

“How they develop players.” Take a look at Anthony Gordon and Lewis Hall from the past two seasons. “They’ve made tremendous progress.”

Howe’s track record speaks for itself, and it’s encouraging to see outstanding young people putting their future in his hands. They will not be disappointed if they believe in his ways and put in the necessary effort.

According to Sky Sports writer Keith Downie, Eddie Howe may make a surprising decision on Anthony Gordon and Nick Woltemade as Newcastle United prepare to face Barcelona in the Champions League.

Gordon is free to play for Newcastle United against Barcelona, as his three-match suspension for a red card against Liverpool last month only affects domestic competition.

The England international might return to Newcastle United’s squad for the visit of Barcelona, who will be without top player Lamine Yamal.

In the absence of a striker, Gordon started up front for Newcastle in the early stages of the season. However, Woltemade and Yoane Wissa have passed through the door.

Though Wissa will be out for the foreseeable future, Woltemade scored on his debut against Wolves and fans will undoubtedly hope to see him start against Barcelona.

However, Downie has a different theory.

Anthony Gordon is expected to start instead of Nick Woltemade for Newcastle United vs Barcelona.

The reporter spoke in a video about Newcastle’s upcoming match against Barcelona.

He stated that Woltemade, who complained of a cramp before facing Wolves, may not be ready to play three games in a row.

With Gordon sidelined for Sunday’s trip to Bournemouth, Downie hinted that he may replace Woltemade up forward against Barcelona.

“I would not be surprised if I saw Gordon start through the middle,” he told me.

“The reason I say that is because Newcastle play Bournemouth away on Sunday, and I don’t believe Woltemade can play three games in eight days.

“He told me on Saturday, after the win against Wolves, in which he scored the winner, that he was cramping up after about 55 minutes to an hour.”

“So I don’t think he’s fully fit to play 90 minutes, certainly not to play three games in the space of eight days.”

What Eddie Howe said about Anthony Gordon prior of the Barcelona showdown

Gordon is expected to start for Newcastle against the Catalan giants, whether or not he replaces Woltemade.

Fellow left winger Harvey Barnes is not in great form and might be dropped in place of the former Everton player.

Ahead of the game, Howe emphasised how vital this season is for Gordon’s career, with a World Cup at the end.

“Anthony’s good,” stated the Newcastle United manager.

“He is in my mind. He’s an exceptional player, and you can’t have enough of them. We’ll look into using him.

“We’ll have to wait and see if that was from the opening of the game. He adds pace and directness to our attacking line, which is always needed. It’s a key season in his career, and we’re excited to help him reach his full potential.”
