It is said that the Light Blues are in the running to sign the central defender this summer.

It said that both of them are looking to add new centre backs to their teams so that they can better protect their goalkeepers next season.

Daniliuc spent the 2022–23 season on loan with RB Salzburg in his home country. However, it has been said that they have decided not to sign him permanently, though they may try to make another deal for him later in the window.

In the meantime, Football Insider says Steven Gerrard wants to get Goldson from Rangers to make his Al-Ettifaq team in Saudi Arabia better.

The news source said that the Gers don’t want to lose the experienced defender but might have to sell him if the Pro League team makes them a “big” offer.

According to Football Insider, Nsiala’s arrival would help replace Goldson, but they would need a more experienced player. That’s where Daniluic could step in, letting Clement get rid of the Englishman in a brutal way.

Why the Rangers should sell Connor Goldson

The central defender, who is 31 years old, had a good season for the Gers in the Scottish Premiership, but now might be the best time to sell him.

After John Lundstram and Ryan Jack left because their contracts were up, Clement doesn’t have a lot of midfield options, though a deal for Connor Barron could happen soon. But, like Jack, it hasn’t mattered much if Dowell was in the squad or not because he hasn’t been fit to play.

Injuries don’t affect anyone more than the player who gets hurt, but Rangers have had more of a problem with them lately than most teams.

Dowell was a signing by Michael Beale, and when a new manager takes over, players that were brought in by the previous manager may not be available. Since he was a free agent, it might not take a huge offer to get him.

The Daily Record says that Rangers would still have to pay Aberdeen a fee, but it would be a lot less than what the player is worth on the market. Rangers could be taken to court if they can’t agree on a fee. Barron is now free to sign a contract at Ibrox.

 

To get Connor Barron, the Rangers want to win the race.

There is a “strong offer” for Barron to move to Glasgow, and he is likely to decide next week. In the English Championship, Swansea City, Cardiff, Stoke, and Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle are all fans of him.

Italy is also interested. Bologna, which is going to the Champions League, wants to get into Scottish football again after the success of Aaron Hickey and Lewis Ferguson as captain.

Would Barron choose the Rangers? If so, he would do what Scott Wright and Ryan Jack did. It looks like he will be a good fit to replace the latter, since the former Aberdeen captain is leaving the team, making room for an aggressive, all-around central midfielder like Barron.

Barry Ferguson, who has led Rangers to five Scottish Premiership titles, would love to see one of the best young players in the country follow in his royal blue footsteps.

After all, Ferguson has criticised his old team for not making better use of local talent, since Josh Doig, Hickey, and his nephew Lewis all left Scotland to play for other teams.

It looks like Rangers will have to pay around £7.7 million to get Penarol midfielder Damian Garcia.

Ibrox wanted to sign the 20-year-old player, according to a report from Football Scotland on June 5th. It is likely that Nils Koppen had talks to sign him in Cancun.

But if Gers still want to sign him this summer, things will be harder because Dario Alberti says he will sign a new deal that lasts until 2026.

There are probably cheaper options that can help the first team right away.

One more thing that needs to be thought about is Philippe Clement’s suggestions. If he can’t take the club to the next level, he will be held accountable.
