Los Blancos pondered activating Paz’s €9 million clause in the summer, but felt he would earn more minutes under Como manager Cesc Fabregas. The 21-year-old revealed a wish to leave Old Trafford in the summer after falling out with manager Ruben Amorim, but United rejected any offers.
