Transfers: Hibs in a transfer battle, Rangers out of the “clear,” Celtic poised to make a “record” bid, and Scotland striker up for £5 million

on

These are the most recent transfer rumours from Scotland, involving Celtic, Rangers, Hibs, and Liverpool.

Scotland youth receives permission to transfer

Ben Doak, a former Celtic youth product, has been given permission to leave Anfield on loan this summer as he expedites his recuperation from injury. After bursting onto the scene, the 18-year-old had an injury-plagued season with Liverpool last year. He was called into Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad for Euro 2024, but injury struck again, forcing him to miss the competition. However, after being informed by new Liverpool manager Arne Slot that he can make a temporary move away from the club, the teenager may now be slated for regular game time in the 24/25 English Premier League season. The Scotland star is rumoured to have drawn interest from top teams, including Southampton, Leicester City, and Brentford, all of whom are interested in loaning him to the Anfield giants.

Celtic and Rangers share a £5 million bid for the target.

Tommy Conway, a striker for Bristol City and Scotland, has been linked to both Old Firm teams for more than a year, but it doesn’t seem like he will be moving to Glasgow anytime soon. The 21-year-old, who declined to sign a new contract at Ashton Gate, is presently training apart from the Robins first squad. As the player’s contract was coming to an end, there was optimism that Rangers and/or Celtic would be able to lure him to the Scottish Premiership for a reduced fee. However, Hull City, an EFL Championship team, has joined Middlesbrough in the competition for the player’s signature and has extended an offer to Bristol City. BristolLive reports that the Tigers have made a bid of about £5 million, while Middlesbrough made a bid of the same amount over the weekend. According to reports, Burnley, who were recently demoted, are still interested in the striker.

In EFL links, Hibs sign as a transfer target.

After spending time at Aberdeen, Junior Hoilett, 34, has finally signed with Hibs. The 63-time Canada international captain has agreed to a one-year contract. After joining the Dons in February of last season, the former winger for Blacburn, QPR, and Cardiff contributed to 11 goals (eight assists and three goals) in 15 appearances. “Junior is someone who has been on our radar, especially after his positive end to the season with Aberdeen,” Hibs head coach David Grey stated. He has played at an extremely high level all of his career and did a great job last season adjusting to Scottish football. Along with leadership and experience to the dressing room, he adds quality and more options to the final third. We’re excited to collaborate with him. Additionally, Hibs are trying to seal a deal for Scotland Under-21 forward Kieron Bowie, a forward for Fulham. But, they might suffer a setback in their efforts to secure a significant loan target. Joe Hodge, the captain of the Republic of Ireland under-21 team and a Wolverhampton Wanderers player, has been training with Hibs recently in anticipation of a potential loan move. The player, who made eight appearances on loan at Queens Park Rangers last season, is reportedly also hoping to finalise a deal with EFL Championship Huddersfield Town. In preparation for the upcoming season, Hodge is reportedly seeking a regular spot on the first team, and he has already started talking to both the Express and the Star. Since joining Wolves in 2021, Hodge has made 13 appearances for the team across all competitions. He has also made six appearances in the English Premier League.

Rangers move is “clear.”

Ianis Hagi, a Romanian midfielder, has no future at Rangers, according to Philippe Clement, who also claims that the player and the club want a summer transfer. In his preview of tonight’s first-leg matchup between Rangers and Dynamo Kiev in the UEFA Champions League qualifier, the manager of the Gers takes his team to Lublin, Poland, and says there is no chance for this player to stay at Ibrox. “It’s obvious that we had a conversation with him prior to the preseason,” Clement stated. “With the club, we need to examine a number of issues, including salaries, the number of players that can fill a position given our budget, and obtaining funding for player acquisitions. The intention was very obviously to sell. That was his desire as well. Thus, that is the evident circumstance.

Celtic to reveal price as record bid approaches

As rumours about star midfielder Matt O’Riley’s future swirl, Brendan Rodgers has been instructed to set his own price. In recent weeks, reports surfaced that Celtic had rejected bids totalling approximately £15 million from both Atlanta and Southampton. Strong interest in the playmaker has also reportedly been expressed by Atletico Madrid, Brighton, and Chelsea. Brighton could become the front-runners for his signature after it was revealed they are willing to offer the Hoops a sum that would break the Scottish transfer record in order to land their man. It is understood the Hoops are holding out for a fee of close to £25 million for the player of the year from the previous season. The Scottish Sun claims that the Seagulls are willing to pay Celtic at least £25 million for the player in order to get him to sign.

Rangers to sign the player that report say is top Celtic target

HITC says that Rangers are still in the lead to sign Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland, even though Celtic is now also interested.

The website said on Tuesday (30 July) that Celtic are looking for players other than Norwich City’s Adam Idah and might be ready to steal the Gers’ move.

But the Light Blues are still “in pole position” to sign the striker, who scored 31 goals last year.

Shankland’s deal with Hearts ends next year, and the striker is said to be looking for a new challenge.

Rangers would be stupid not to sign Lawrence Shankland.

Rangers would be very wrong to let Shankland get away.

He scored 31 goals last year and is ready for a new challenge. 59 goals in two seasons for Hearts is a great record that shows he’s a great striker. The forward from Glasgow is at the top of his game and ready to make a big difference.

Celtic is also interested in Shankland because they need to find another player after having trouble signing Norwich’s Idah permanently.

Celtic is becoming more interested in Shankland, so the Gers need to move quickly to get him. Shankland has scored six goals in just ten games against Celtic, so letting him go to their only title rival would be a huge loss.

Shankland is strong, skilled, and can score goals, so he would be a great addition to the Light Blues.

Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland

Scotland international Lawrence Shankland scored 31 goals last season and is eager for a new challenge

Lawrence Shankland, a Scotland player, scored 31 goals last year and is ready for a new challenge.

If the Gers don’t get him, their biggest rival would get stronger, which could make the gap between the two clubs bigger. He needs to be brought to Ibrox right now to seal the deal.

Rangers have to pay £12.6 million to complete the signing; a formal bid has been made – report

O Jogo says that Rangers has learnt that they will have to make a bid of £12.6 million to get Porto winger Goncalo Borges.

Andre Villas-Boas wrote on their website (July 28) that they don’t think any interested clubs will trigger Borges’ £42.2m release clause. The “formal” Rangers bid, however, falls short of what the Portuguese team was hoping for.

Rangers has made a concrete offer to both Borges and Strasbourg, and talks with both clubs will continue over the next few days. Porto are happy with how the player has done in Portugal, but they are ready to sell for the right price.

Borges would have to cost Rangers more than any other player in Scottish history.

Not a single part of the pitch at the Ibrox isn’t going to be improved this summer, and Borges has been named as the latest possible addition.

So far, Hamza Igamane is the only attacker that has been added. With Fabio Silva and Abdallah Sima going back to their home clubs, Philippe Clement needs to focus on getting new players for his front line.

Sam Lammers just moved to FC Twente, and more players are likely to leave soon. Cyriel Dessers is also on the chopping block.

Rangers would have to pay a fee that would make Borges the second most expensive player ever bought in Scottish football, after Tor Andre Flor, who came from Chelsea to Rangers in 2000. The Gers will not be able to pay that much.

Rangers have made a move to sign Porto star Goncalo Borges.

That’s a lot of money to spend on a player who has only set up three goals in 50 first-team games for Porto, but Clement thinks he has found the perfect player and is ready to negotiate a lower price.

Fans of Rangers are getting nervous because they don’t know which players are coming or going in what is turning out to be the biggest summer overhaul for the club. A big money move for a player could calm their nerves.

Borges, who is 23 years old, has played in both the Champions League and the Portuguese top flight. If Porto were willing to lower their asking price, Clement would be smart to sign him.

Rangers are almost ready to get all the money they need to sign a striker, according to a report

The Daily Record says that Rangers’ sale of Sam Lammers could make it possible for them to sign Hearts star Lawrence Shankland.

The news was posted online by the newspaper on July 25. It said that the money from selling the Dutch player could be used to make a deal for Shankland, who is worth £3 million.

FC Twente has made a £2 million offer for Lammers, and he is about to go back to his home country [Daily Mail, July 24].

Rangers need to make sure that Sam Lammers leaves Ibrox for good this summer.

Lammers has had a pretty bad time since he moved to Scotland for a reported £3 million last summer.

The strikers played 31 times for the Gers in the first half of last season but only scored two goals in all competitions.

Because of this, Philippe Clement looked for a loan for the attacker, which led to the striker getting a loan to FC Utrecht.

During his time with the Eredivisie club, he played 20 times and helped score 14 goals in all competitions.

Lammers has been wanting to leave Ibrox for a long time, and the fact that Shankland could be brought in with the money from his sale makes it seem like a no-brainer.

Rangers target Lawrence Shankland scored 31 goals in all competitions for Hearts last season

The Gers have been after the Jambos striker for a long time and would definitely make their front line ten times better.

It has also been said that the star player for Hearts would jump at the chance to play for Rangers if the chance came up [Daily Mail, July 1, 2018].

“It’s going to happen”: Rangers react to rumours of a Tavernier transfer

James Tavernier’s future at Rangers is still up in the air because he’s drawing interest from both Europe and outside.

Although Philippe Clement has previously stated that he does not want to lose his captain, anyone on the squad is up for grabs unless their name is Jack Butland.

Due to a slight injury that has limited the 32-year-old to working alone during preseason, the captain has been a rare sight. Fans have speculated that there may be other reasons for this.

James Tavernier rumours are not affecting Rangers’ plans

John Souttar, in an interview with Sky Sports, states that the rumours are not affecting the team’s plans for the forthcoming season:

“I don’t consider it to be in any way disruptive. It is included in football.

“At clubs like these, there will always be people connected to leaving and people connected to other things during transfer windows.

“Being a member of the Rangers is just one of these things.

“It’s inevitable, so the boys here should simply concentrate on practicing and playing football every day.

“Everything else will work itself out.”

With the exception of one strange social media post, Tavernier has mainly remained silent.

After his bid remarks, Tavernier would be a challenging player to replace.

Only a few weeks ago, Philippe Clement denied rumours, but Alex Rae said that the manager could want to take the following into consideration:

Rae said to Sky Sports, “There has (been) speculation throughout Tavernier’s time here.”

“There have been several rumours and links to him; we merely handle them as they come up. Nothing significant to report.

“Hopefully, Tav will continue to play a vital role in everything we do here.”

Rae responded, “Listen, I have no idea, I don’t even know what the bid is, that’s kind of above my pay grade,” when pressed about the bid.

“At this club, he’s been essential to me; he’s played a major role in recent years, and I believe he scored about 20 goals last year as well.

“We’ll watch to see what transpires with each of them. I’m not too interested in the ins and outs.

“He’s still very much a part of the squad,” Rae continued.

The most solid rumours seem to concern Tavernier, along with Connor Goldson.

In addition to serving as the team’s captain and vice-captain, they have participated in more than 700 games together.

For the past six years or more, they have played a significant role in Rangers, both in good and terrible times.

Nils Koppen has to collect the most money for the players he sells this summer—especially the ones who are dependable enough to play more than 50 games a season—because the team does not have a sporting director.

Joan Jordan ‘punished’ for breaking Rangers transfer secrecy, as Sevilla face angry slapdown from the Spanish FA

The 30-year-old is on the agenda, and Philippe Clement is eager to add more fresh faces.

Sevilla is said to have “punished” defiant Joan Jordan for her outspokenness while having ties to the Rangers.

The Spanish FA may soon intervene in the dispute between the player and the club, according to rumours, therefore the La Liga team’s action may backfire. Sports director Victor Orta and Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta have informed the two-time Europa League champion that he is surplus to requirements, but the player is apparently unwilling to give up his pay because his contract is set to expire in 2027.

In an attempt to regain his spot in the starting lineup for the upcoming season, he is rumoured to have taken a shorter break from his vacation to return to training early. However, he was completely left out of the starting lineup for the first preseason friendly of the campaign against the Orlando Pirates.Estadio Deportivo now asserts that the 30-year-old was given a “punishment” for the move, as he seemed to strengthen his social media exit strategy.

Jordan posted an Instagram story of himself with the message “stronger than ever” in response to rumours that Sevilla had rejected a loan bid for the Scottish Premiership player that would have required him to pay back 30% of his salary. The Spanish team is reportedly putting “pressure” on the seasoned midfield player to leave after the post.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish Footballers’ Association (AFE) and LaLiga are “closely monitoring” the scenario, which may be against league regulations. It is stated that due to the “complex” nature of the matter, the club will receive a reminder about the guidelines.

The regulations state that players should “remember the provisions of its ‘Circular 7/2022 – Footballers secluded / as’, remembering that some clubs remove players from the activity of a squad, committing illegal practices, during this time of the season.” Additionally, they state that: “A football player’s rights, as outlined in articles 4.2, paragraphs a and b, and 17.1 of the Workers’ Statute; as well as the provisions of article 7.4 of Royal Decree 1006/1985, which regulates the employment relationship of professional athletes, may be seriously breached if they are not allowed to participate in a concentration.”

Rangers to sign star player

Rangers’ loan target is Estadio Deportivo claims Joan Jordan has returned to pre-season training despite Sevilla telling him they rely less on him.

The 30-year-old will not simply join any other team this summer, according to the Spanish news source dated July 16.

Though Gers offers, he intends to persuade Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta that his top goal is to stay at the club where he has a term until 2027.

Joan Jordan does not seem completely persuaded to join Rangers.

The fact the Spaniard decided to resume pre-season training at Sevilla against advice indicates he is not entirely convinced to relocate to Ibrox.

Jordan has a contract until 2027, hence his first concern is keeping on playing for Sevilla.

The team could present a competitive pay scale that either meets or surpasses his present income in Spain to persuade him to join Rangers.

Gers might also draw attention to the possibility for more playing time and the chance to be a major member of their team.

They might also highlight the ardent following and the opportunity to challenge for Scottish championships.

Jordan might be convinced to go by the club addressing his worries about his future and offering a convincing picture of his position there.

“Really wanted him”- Journalist explains why a pivotal £3 million+ Rangers transfer exit fell through

Leon ten Voorde claims that Rangers are having trouble offloading the Dutch forward this summer due to Sam Lammers’ wages.

The Journalist: In light of the overwhelming interest from the Eredivisie, the journalist informed the AD Voetbal podcast on July 15 that his asking price of up to €4 million [£3.36 million] was affordable. However, a move to FC Utrecht fell through because the 27-year-old would have had to accept a pay cut of more than 50%.

Despite the club trying to sign Lammers to a long-term contract [Rangers Review, 20 May], they have subsequently signed Noah Ohio. Lammers struggled in Glasgow and spent the second half of the previous season on loan at the club, recovering with 11 goals.

Ten Voorde stated, “FC Utrecht really wanted him and it’s not about the transfer fee,” according to Football Scotland. He is, I think, around €3 or €4 million.

“Clubs should be able to afford it if you’ve performed well in the transfer market. You won’t get there, though, in terms of pay. Lammers will therefore have to forfeit a significant portion of his pay.

Rangers forward played for the B Team against Leeds United.

While several of Michael Beale’s summer acquisitions have turned out to be better investments than the former manager had made them appear, the Lammers trade still seems like a bad idea.

Under the Englishman, Dujon Sterling may have come out of nowhere to become a star at Ibrox, and under Philippe Clement, Cyriel Dessers made a comeback to end with 22 goals in the previous season.

Since targets are being snatched up by rival suitors quickly, the Belgian and Nils Koppen are looking to finance the remainder of their transfer window, so the latter could be sold nevertheless [Rangers Review, 3 July].

However, after his extremely beneficial loan move created a market for him, Lammers’ inability to be moved is perhaps the biggest source of discontent [Rangers Review, 29 May].

His performance in the Netherlands was great, but if the club’s offer is so much more than what players in the top tier can afford, then it seems the club gave him too much.

Philippe Clement has no use for Sam Lammers and has left him in the Rangers B Team this summer

He certainly didn’t deserve a big contract after joining Rangers from Sampdoria a year ago with a total of nine goals scored over the course of the previous four years for five different clubs. He went on to struggle in front of goal and scored just twice for the team.

Although Lammers can take some of the blame for his Light Blues performances, the club can also take responsibility for signing a player who is not required to give up his contract and is now stuck in the B Team.

Confirmed: a 14-person consortium was put together to finish taking over the Rangers

Scott Galloway stated that he had a group of 14 people ready to take over the Rangers.

The Clinical Professor of marketing at the New York University Stern School of Business said on the Diary of a CEO podcast (quoted by the Daily Record on 15 July) that he knew what it was and saw it as a £10 million convertible note.

A historian told him not to do it, though, because he didn’t know much about the game and fans would hate him right away.

Galloway said, “I got about 14 of the richest and most well-known Scottish people in the US together and told them, ‘Let’s go buy Rangers FC. It’s a public company.'” I knew what it was: a £10 million conversion note.

Someone I know who is a well-known Scottish historian then told me, “You’d be the most hated person in the UK.” He says, “You don’t know anything about football; you’d look like an American idiot over there,” and I agree. It makes him wonder, “Why don’t you just go to Rangers games?”

Rangers shouldn’t be taken over by Americans who don’t know anything about football.

It’s good for the club that it didn’t happen because they wouldn’t have known much about football and there would have been a lot of negative feedback from the club’s loyal fans.

Football clubs are very important to the towns where they’re located, and when the owners change, it can have big effects.

A lot of fans see their club as more than just a business; it’s a part of who they are and their history.

If someone or some people who don’t understand this takes over, they might make choices that turn off fans and hurt the club’s character.

The consortium’s lack of football knowledge could also hurt the club’s chances of winning.

To run a football club, you need to know a lot about recruiting players, football strategy, and the game in general.

Without this knowledge, the group might not be able to make good decisions, which could hurt their performance on the pitch.

Ignoring these things could make the place unfriendly, which would make it hard for the new owners to succeed.

Chris Jack discusses whether the Rangers plan to make any fresh transfer while they are away at training camp

Chris Jack reports that there is no indication that the Rangers will finalise any other transfers over the remaining days of their preseason camp.

The reporter stated on July 12, at 5:30, on the Rangers Review YouTube channel that Philippe Clement is still not anticipated to add players to his roster while the first team is in the Netherlands.

While incoming transfers are still being worked on [Four Lads, 11 July], Nils Koppen has joined the playing and coaching staff for their pre-season camp. No signings appear to be imminent while the club is away from Glasgow.

Jack stated, “As we mentioned on the show the last couple of days, Nils Koppen is over here,” during his appearance on the Rangers Review.

“I stated in that post that I don’t expect Rangers to do anything imminently, and I think that’s demonstrated to be the case, as we reported on the five things following the Standard Liege game.

It has been 48 hours since then. No proposals have been made about anyone else entering during this camp.

Do the Rangers have any plans to make any additions during the summer transfer window?

Although Rangers supporters will be unhappy to learn that nothing has changed in the last 24 hours regarding transfers, it was always unlikely that the Gers would add a lot of players while they were away from Ibrox.

There is still plenty of time in the transfer window for Clement’s team to make those kinds of acquisitions, even though they will still need to add a few new players in order to really catch up to Celtic at the top of the Premiership next season.

Since the Light Blues have been unable to convince several of their high earners to go, their top priorities right now must be making room on their wage bill and generating some cash through player sales.

Transfer negotiations should pick back up after Clement, Koppen, and the club return to Ibrox in the coming days, allowing players to begin coming in and going out of Glasgow as soon as possible.

Rangers reality check: Clement’s latest fails to inspire hope among anxious supporters

Philippe Clement has addressed Rangers supporters for one of the first times as they anxiously anticipate the major kick-off of this season.

Only the Belgian boss has not precisely given hope that this summer things are going perfectly.

After a few acquisitions, negative transfer updates about a lack of immediate Rangers action have not exactly set Gers fans humming.

Throw in the disaster over Ibrox’s reconstruction, and before a ball has even been kicked this season, there is a sinking sensation around the club.

Now, Philippe Clement has not exactly helped to stifle that feeling as he tempers expectations at Rangers in both the transfer window and concerning the club’s young arrivals.

Rangers rebuild expectations based on moderation.

The Gers have lost five seasoned players at the end of their contracts, something Philippe Clement has often mentioned in the months preceding the summer.

Rangers could have really done without having to replace almost 750 appearances after recouping the £0 total on their departures, given a limited budget to work on.

Once more drawing on the circumstances as he spoke with Rangers Review, Clement said in foreboding remarks ahead of the new campaign that this Rangers rebuild will not be finished in a day.

The Ibrox manager also once more mentioned the situation of the injury crisis at the club, thereby adjusting players’ expectations returning from problems this summer.

“It is not easy to replace five players and Robby also without money coming in the club,” remarked Clement. That is not a straightforward matter.

“It’s looking at everyone to maximise their potential. Many of our players are returning from long-term injuries, several in fact. We cannot teach them using the same approach.

“We still have a lot of work to do; several won’t be ready for the 90 minutes. We have to pay attention to every single personal narrative and how best to maximise them.

Clement had discussed the long-term planning of the club: “You can have luck in moments when you get results with less quality but not in the long term.”

Now that the club is working on something long term, it is quite crucial.

“It is not only the short term and looking at that; then, you always find yourself facing the same issues from the past.

Rome was not created in one day; a house cannot be built in one day.Furthermore not reconstructed in one day will be Rangers.I can tell every supporter that everyone is working day and night towards it.

“We have to build it to make them stronger, better, better collectively, better individually, to get good signings in, to get less injuries, have better prevention, make them more robust, score more goals, get less goals against.Everything mentioned here. Everybody is rather busy working on that.

Furthermore, Clement has said that two of the most well-known summer additions—Hamza Igamane and Clinton Nsiala—are “not expected to be starters’ next season.”

Great.

Clement: September is a judge’s month.

Keeping all of this in mind, Clement has been advising supporters not to assess the club’s transfer operations until the end of the window.

But September 1st seems far off with Rangers scheduled to start the Scottish Premiership away to Hearts at the beginning of August and with the Champions League qualifications just around.

In some more sinister remarks, the Rangers boss has advised supporters to wait to rate his new acquisitions until the window closes.

The issue is that the Rangers’ season as well as the financial difference with Old Firm rivals Celtic might be severely compromised before the window shuts.

“It’s not a point now to rating,” Clement remarks. “The one thing I have learnt is to work hard, working with the present players; you never know how quickly things change. That is not under your control.

“With players you want first you need to persuade them to come; then you need to persuade their team you pay the correct price. You have only one evaluation date—September 1.

“That defines my reality. You might conduct business early occasionally and on the last day at other times. Dependent on the market is this. Furthermore, my knowledge indicates that the market slows down in the years you have World Cups or Euros.

“We have been really busy thus far viewing a lot of guys. Already, we have done very outstanding deeds for the club’s future.

These remarks won’t exactly inspire confidence as Rangers supporters tensely wait for the next several weeks before the season starts.

More than compliments the management seems to be downplaying expectations ahead of the new season and attempting to explain a lack of transfer activity. Rangers are headed in the right path.

Perhaps we are reading between the lines, perhaps Clement is just saying the truth, but the Belgian has not rallied the troops for Rangers supporters hoping for a title challenge next season.

We have a sinking sensation for a protracted campaign; if Clement is expecting a bye or any patience from supporters, he can almost certainly forget it.

Although Rangers supporters will recognise development regardless of scale, blaming short term setback with soundbites about long-term success will not be sufficient.

These folks in the background of the club have to get it right this summer – or at least push us in the right direction – and anything less will see their jobs on the line.

It really feels as though Clement arrived early here with some justification.

Although we hope we are mistaken, far from inspire confidence the manager’s most recent soundbites have done exactly the reverse.

Mourinho lets Gers in as Fabrizio Romano withdraws his claim to sign a winger

The transfer jungle drums have been silent in recent weeks, but the Rangers are still looking for more experience.

The club’s desired orientation is laid out in Nils Koppen’s transfer policy, therefore Philippe Clement has a significant task ahead of him in rebuilding an unbalanced roster.

The manager of the Gers is aware that he requires quality, and based on the wingers that started and ended the match against Standard Liege, he believes that this needs to be his first priority.

With Scott Wright rumoured to be close to moving to Sheffield on Wednesday, the only choices remaining will be inexperienced.

He wants someone who has a similar level of experience creating opportunities and scoring goals.

Adama Traore is free to sign with the Rangers.

Talks to sign 29-year-old winger Adama Traore, one of Ferencvaros’ top players, were reportedly at a “advanced stage.”

large-scale expenditure The £3.5 million rated forward was then connected to Fenerbahce, however these reports were later ruled out as unfounded.

Naturally, Jose Mourinho has raised the bar, and transfer guru Fabricio Romano has disclosed something that might be advantageous for Rangers:

Here we go! “Fenerbahçe agrees to sign Allan Saint-Maximin from Al Ahli on a loan.” There is a verbal arrangement in place for a one-season loan with a lower wage while contracts are checked. José Mourinho was successful at persuading the player that he desired ASM.

Rangers are looking to acquire seasoned players, thus experience is required.

Speaking lately about the newcomers, Philippe Clement stated that signing potential young players won’t be the only thing happening during the transfer window:

“We were focusing on everything, but it is simpler to bring in the younger players early. However, over the remainder of the transfer window, experienced players will also be joining the team, so we need to have a well-balanced roster for both the squad and the team.

“It was crucial to identify these young players, and I believe we have some very exciting prospects for this club’s future.”

By selecting Saint Maximin over Traore, Mourinho might be doing Rangers a favour.

To begin with, the Light Blues’ budget is probably going to be a lot smaller than the famed manager’s.

While Traore is incredibly fast, he is also reliable, in contrast to Rabbi Matondo.

Oscar Cortes is back and fully healthy, so Clement knows he can rely on one guy. Now he only needs someone on the opposing team who has been there and earned a t-shirt.

Nils Koppen only needs to step through the opened door and place the cheque on the desk.

Rangers target says goodbye to his club with tears in his eyes, saying “it’s time to bid farewell and embark on new challenge”

He has said that a move to Ibrox could happen soon in the summer.

Hamza Igamane, who is wanted by Rangers, used social media to say goodbye to his family and friends.

Hamza Igamane bid farewell to FAR Rabat in an emotional goodbye message

Hamza Igamane, who plays for FAR Rabat in Morocco, wrote on Instagram to say goodbye to his fans back home before he goes off to switch teams.

Igamane said, “Allah is the only one who can make me successful.” I put my trust in Him and turn to Him.

“It’s time to say goodbye to ASFAR and start a new adventure. It’s been an amazing journey that has made me who I am today.”

“It’s an honour to have won two titles with the club I love very much.”

“I will always be grateful to President Mohamed Haramou and Vice President Al-Ayoubi, the committee they lead, all of my teammates, coaches, staff, and anyone else who has had any kind of impact on my career.”

“I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the leader.” “Thank you for everything.”

After the sad goodbye, it’s possible that the official news of his move to Glasgow is getting closer.

He has scored 13 goals in 45 games in the top league in Morocco. He has also played eight times and scored two goals for the Morocco under-23 national team.

Hamza Igamane is about to move from Rangers to Sunderland for £2 million, and he is sad to say goodbye

The star player from Morocco’s Under-23 team is almost Philippe Clement’s sixth summer deal.

This is how Hamza Igamane said goodbye to AS Far Rabat, the striker who is going to Rangers. He is getting ready to seal his move to Ibrox.

This week, the 21-year-old Moroccan starlet will be introduced as Philippe Clement’s sixth summer signing. He has been given the go-ahead to finish his £2 million transfer. Igamane has already made up with Gers on a personal level and has been given a work pass.

Igamane will soon be able to play with his new partners, but the talented young player has already told his old team, AS Far Rabat, how much he appreciates their help in his rise to fame. “My success comes only through Allah,” he wrote on Instagram. I trust Him and turn to Him. It’s time to say goodbye to ASFAR and start a new adventure. My time there was truly amazing and helped shape me into the person I am today. I’m proud to have won two titles with the club I love very much.

“I will always be grateful to President Mohamed Haramou and Vice President Al-Ayoubi, the committee they lead, all of my Askaries, team-mates, coaches, staff, and anyone else who has had any kind of impact on my career.” In my heart, the boss will always be important. “Thank you for everything.”

The star player from Morocco’s Under-23 team will join new Rangers players Jeffte, Oscar Cortes, Clinton Nsiala, Connor Barron, and Liam Kelly.

New signing was seen in Rangers gear; he or he is wearing a 2024–25 shirt

Rangers shared a picture of Clinton Nsiala in his official 2024–25 shirt to show that he has joined the team.

Gers were able to permanently sign the 20-year-old player, who left AC Milan and went to Ibrox on July 1.

So far this summer, Gers have brought in five new players, and Philippe Clement is looking to add more experienced players in the next few weeks.

Rangers need three or more players to make their first team stronger.

Gers have added some talented young players to their team, like Nsiala from AC Milan, showing that they are committed to developing future stars.

This summer, the club brought in five new players with the goal of building a good base for the team.

But as the new season comes, Rangers know how important it is to have a balanced team.

The young players give the team depth and promise, but now they want to add experienced players who can help the first team right away and lead them.

This strategy aims to bring together young energy and experienced knowledge to make sure that Gers are ready to compete at the top level in the 2024–25 season.

At the moment, it doesn’t look like they’ll be able to take the title away from Celtic. That’s why they will need to make some good purchases in the next few weeks.

Chris Sutton calls the news about Rangers and Ibrox “ridiculous,” which could cost them £40 million

After hearing that Ibrox would not be ready for the start of the 2024–25 season, Chris Sutton slammed Rangers.

Chris Jack said on June 20 that the Gers will have to play their first few home games away from Ibrox because of problems with the renovations. This has already led to the firing of one person [The Scottish Sun].

Because of the delay, fans will not be able to watch their team play in the Champions League playoffs at Ibrox. Plans are already being made to find a temporary home.

Sutton wrote in the Daily Record on June 29, 2017, that Rangers fans aren’t interested in moving containers and steel that isn’t there. The fact that they can’t watch their team play at Ibrox is ridiculous.

Rangers should beat Motherwell and Ross County in the first month, even if they have to play them on the moon, but that’s not the point. It must also hurt Clement’s hopes in the Champions League qualifiers.

“In the last few years, Ibrox has been a strong ally in Europe.” If it’s not used for qualifying rounds and the new league part of the competition, another £40 million jackpot could be lost.

Rangers will play their first games of the 2024–25 season away from Ibrox.

The fans of the Glasgow Rangers will know how important the Ibrox crowd would have been for the team’s Champions League games. That’s why one person has already been affected by the delays.

Fans should be able to go back to Ibrox for the first few games of the season, but they can’t since the Copland Road Stand has all summer to get ready.

After coming close to beating Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title, Philippe Clement and his team will be looking to get off to a good start this season.

Motherwell and Ross County are Rangers’ first “home” league games of the season, so everyone will expect them to win all six. But because of what’s going on at Ibrox, the doubt could make everything go wrong.

Rangers have suffered a setback to the redevelopment at Ibrox

To be in the running for the league title, the Gers need to get off to the best possible start. They can’t play catch-up like they did for most of last season, with Michael Beale leaving the team in the dark for Clement to fix.

Of course, the loss of money will also have a big impact, but one of the most important things going into the new season will be how happy the fans are.

People make fun of Rangers for what happened at Ibrox; an ex-EPL executive gets angry and says the board will pay for not having any friends

Keith Wyness thinks that the Light Blues should have known that their building work could go wrong.

Keith Wyness, the former CEO of Aberdeen, called the Rangers board “disgraceful” for the Ibrox Stadium delay mess and called them liars because they criticised Dundee last season after their Dens Park match was postponed twice.

Wyness knows how to build venues because he was on the board of the OVO Hydro in Glasgow and was CEO of Pittodrie and played in the English Premier League for Aston Villa and Everton. Now he says that the leaders of the Light Blues should have known that the steel orders from the Far East could cause the building work in the Copland Road Stand to take longer than planned to finish.

Wyness is sure that someone in charge at Rangers knew about the delay “for a while.” He also said that the club’s relationships with rival clubs, like Motherwell and Ross County, might not help with any attempts to change the dates of games, since the Light Blues are set to play both teams at home in August. Wyness said that Rangers are “reaping what they sow.”

The 66-year-old also said that the timing of former CEO James Bisgrove’s departure to join the Saudi Pro League was good given the current situation. Wyness said that Murrayfield was the “only sensible option” to help Rangers get through it.He told Football Insider, “What a mess it was.” The board thinks it’s shameful that this kind of trouble happened.

“I’ve worked on a number of stadium projects, and for seven years I was on the board that built the Hydro in Glasgow.” People who work for them should have known about this; they should have kept a risk register or had the right experts around to tell them about the problems. There is always a risk when supplies come in from other countries. That is a known fact that is taken into account in all of these kinds of projects. It is written down in the risk register, and you make sure it happens.

“What was especially funny about this situation was that Rangers were complaining about Dundee because their pitch wasn’t playable because it hadn’t drained properly. Rangers made a lot of noise about that as a club not making its pitch playable.” Now we’re at a point where Rangers are saying that.

Rangers also need other teams in the league to work with them if they want to switch the schedules. Rangers don’t have many friends in the Premier League. In many ways, they are getting what they deserve. This must have been known for a while by someone, because it’s a big deal. I wouldn’t want to be there trying to help Rangers solve this problem.

“Murrayfield looks like the only smart choice.” The only important thing is that it’s in Edinburgh, not Glasgow. There are a lot of problems with that, like with transportation or police. It could be three months, six months, or even the whole season.

“We’ve seen Spurs move into Wembley and other teams move, but that’s usually when teams are rebuilding a pitch.” It’s only about fixes this time. At the end, there’s no big gain; only a loss of money. I saw that the CEO went to Saudi Arabia, which could have been a very smart move on his part. This must have been known for a while by someone. I don’t want to be the one who has to figure this all out.

Rangers WON’T get an SPFL “sanction” like Dundee did in the middle of the chaos at Ibrox as the Hearts case study is brought back to life

It will be hard for Philippe Clement’s team to be at home in Govan for the first month of the season.

Rangers will not get in trouble with the SPFL because of the lockout at Ibrox, just like Hearts did when they had problems building at Tynecastle.

That’s what former Ibrox custodian Cammy Bell thought. He fought back against claims that the Light Blues should get spanked by league officials, like their foes Dundee did after the Dens Park flood last season.Rangers executives are having a hard time finding a temporary home because their main stadium will be closed for the first month of the 2024–25 season because of delays in improving the Copland Road stand.

Rangers need to find a new place to play their “home” Scottish Premiership games against Ross County and Motherwell in the first month of the year. They also need to find a place to play their important Champions League qualifiers and a possible home Viaplay Cup last 16 match.

Some pundits have compared it to the punishment Dundee got after a string of calls off at Dens Park last season. After two failed attempts, Rangers finally got their away game in the City of Discovery played on Wednesday night, the THIRD time. The Dark Blues have been fined a huge £186,000 and have had £120,000 delayed because of six call-offs this season.

However, Bell thinks that Hearts’ problems in 2017 are more likely to happen. Due to a delay in installing seats in the club’s new main stand, it was decided that three of the first four home games for the Jambos would be played at Murrayfield instead of Firhill. The other home game against Partick Thistle would still be played at Firhill.

Not a single thing was done by the SPFL against the Edinburgh team. Bell told the Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, “The games will happen on the date and time they were planned to.” I think we’re still early enough that there will be an answer. In the next week or two, that solution will be made public.

“The games will happen on the dates they’re supposed to; the only thing that matters is which stadium they’re played at.” I absolutely do not see any connection between this and what happened in Dundee. In the case of Dundee, I thought they were breaking the rules by not taking care of their pitch and making it good enough to hold a game.

Hearts had building problems, and they didn’t get fined, so I don’t think Rangers will either. The problem was found early enough; it wasn’t found a week before the season. I don’t think it’s the same problem as at Dundee because it’s still June and it sounds like they are in advanced talks with the SPFL about where they will be moving to for this short time.

There is still chaos at Ibrox, so the SPFL has blocked Rangers’ fixture of games

The Daily Record says that Rangers will still have to host home games to start the Scottish Premiership season, even though there are still problems at Ibrox.

According to the source, the SPFL is waiting to talk to the Gers about “potential switches” until Thursday, June 27, when the matches are made public.

This means that Rangers are “very unlikely” to start the season with only away games because of problems at the stadium.

Even though they won’t be able to host games at Ibrox to start the season, their first home games will not be switched with away games.

Rangers had to play at home even though Ibrox was closed.

The building work at Ibrox has been pushed back, so it’s still not likely that the Gers will play their first games there.

Because of this, the club has thought about using other venues, like Murrayfield, as alternatives, but that could cause problems anyway.

Fans who will have to move far away, even for just a few games, will find it annoying to have to pack up and move.

No one in charge of the Rangers would ever agree to the idea that they should play all of their first games away from home.

If that happened, by the end of the season there would be an unfair edge as they would have almost every game at Ibrox.

Rangers Ibrox fans

There will be times when it is frustrating to move, but that is the only way to solve the problems.

We got ourselves into a bad spot, and Philippe Clement will be hoping that it doesn’t hurt his team’s form.

Report: Player was seen at Auchenhowie, and Rangers are expected to pay a £525,000 transfer fee

The Daily Record says that Connor Barron, who recently signed with Rangers, was seen at Auchenhowie after completing a permanent move to Ibrox.

The news source said on June 24 that Gers still have to pay Aberdeen a £525,000 fee unless they go to court and try their luck.

That’s because the Dons should get paid because the 21-year-old came up through their academy and played 76 times for the first team.

Connor Barron will want to make the Rangers first team all the time.

After moving from Aberdeen, the 21-year-old midfielder will be eager to make a name for himself as a regular member of the first team at Ibrox.

Because of his experience and skills, he could make a big difference right away in the next season.

Barron’s ability to switch between different midfield roles could be very helpful for Philippe Clement.

The midfielder’s first impressions in preseason training will be very important. To show Clement that he deserves a spot in the starting lineup, he will need to show off his technical skills, tactical knowledge, and physical fitness.

Barron has already played in the Scottish Premiership with Aberdeen, which will help him quickly get used to the demands of playing for a top team like Rangers.

Connor Barron

Rangers signed Connor Barron on a free transfer

Additionally, Barron’s ability to grow even more with Clement’s help could be a big plus in his favour.

There will be sales of Ibrox stars after the player passes his medical to join Rangers, according to a report

The Scottish Sun says that Hamza Igamane passed a medical before Rangers made their official announcement that he would be joining the team at Ibrox.

On Saturday, June 22, the newspaper said on their website that Igamane, who is 21 years old, had agreed to join Govan on a five-year deal after leaving FAR Rabat in Morocco.

It is expected that he will be named Philippe Clement’s fifth summer signing within the next 48 hours. A fee of £2.5 million has already been agreed upon.

This summer, Jefte, Oscar Cortes, Clinton Nsiala, and Connor Barron have all already signed with Rangers. Also, Mohamed Diomande’s loan deal has been turned into a permanent one.

A lot of players could now leave Ibrox, according to The Scottish Sun. James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, and Todd Cantwell are all names that could be cut.

Who is Hamza Igamane, the new player that Rangers bought?

Igamane is not a player that Rangers fans would have known about before he was linked with a move to Ibrox this summer.

The 21-year-old is a striker who scored seven goals in 23 games across all competitions for FAR Rabat last season, helping them finish second in the Botola Pro, which is Morocco’s top league. He scored six goals in 18 league games in 2022–23, and his team won the title, making him the club’s youngest champion ever.

It’s clear that the Scottish Premiership is a step up from the Moroccan top flight, which is thought to be the best league in Africa. However, coming in having already won a title is a good thing. There are also some huge stadiums in Morocco that have very hostile atmospheres. Igamane will have been even better prepared for the Old Firm, which is like a pressure cooker.

Igamane has also won a lot of international games. With Morocco, he won the U23 African Cup of Nations.

There will definitely be a change in culture when I move from Rabat to Glasgow. Rabat is a city known for its scorching heat and beautiful architecture. But he has shown signs of being someone who has grown up in the country where he was born and is likely to cause trouble in Europe.

‘He’ll go to…’: A former teammate talks about what a £5 million Rangers target told him about the summer transfer period

Soon after signing Mohammed Diomande in January, Philippe Clement said that Ibrox might not be the end of the midfielder’s journey.

“Certainly (he can do better)” “Not just the next few weeks, but also the months and years,” Clement said of the Ivory Coast player who was brought in on loan from Nordsjaelland.”He’s a very good player, and I don’t think Rangers will be his last stop.”

„Of course, you need some luck with injuries to make it in this business. He will take bigger steps, though, if he stays away from that.

Would Albion Rrahmani join Diomande on the blue side of Glasgow? If so, could he also begin a journey that takes him to the top of the European game?

Rangers have kept Talks with Alboon Rrahmani

The Rapid Bucharest striker, who is worth £7 million, has a lot of drive and talent.

Rangers are said to have started talking two weeks ago. It is said that Director Nils Koppen met with Rrahmani’s agent in Mexico.

It looks more likely than not that the Romanian group will split up this summer. A number was given by Rapid co-owner Vincent Angelescu: the player with the most goals (19) was “80%” likely to have a new club by the start of next season.

Which club, though?

Rrahmani and Alexandru Albu played together at Rapid, but Albu didn’t say for sure where the Kosovo international would end up. But, like with Diomande, he thinks that Rrahmani could go beyond the level of the Scottish Premiership in the next few years.

“He is a valuable player, and it is hard for valuable players to stay in our championship,” Albu tells Orange Sport. “If he leaves, I’m sure he will go to a big team.”

“What the player decides is very important here, not just what the club decides, because the player also wants to prove that he is a great football player.” Rachanani wants to get as high as he can.

“He told me that he wants to get to a top team.” This means “top ten (in Europe)”

Rangers are also interested in Hamza Igamane.

In that case, Rangers might be a smart move in the right direction. After winning the Golden Boot with Ballkani in Kosovo and then being just as productive in Romania, Rrahmani’s skills would be seen by a lot more people if he played for Rangers in Europe.

That’s why Albu is sure that the 23-year-old poacher can do anything.

The player who left Rapid Bucharest at the end of last season says, “He is very good, and I think he can get to the top of the European game.” “But take it one step at a time.”

Sport Bull, a Romanian newspaper, says that Rangers think Rrahmani is worth £5 million. Rapid, on the other hand, want around £7 million. The real amount may be somewhere in the middle, though.

What the Rangers’ pursuit of Hamza Igamane means for that Rrahmani chase, on the other hand, is still unknown. The Daily Record says the RAF Rabat forward will cost less than £2 million. Will there be room at Ibrox for another number nine?

Even though Kemar Roofe has already left, Clement can use both Cyriel Dessers and Danilo. Will someone have to move to make room for two new people?

It’s not likely that Rangers will sign a “young player with enormous potential” to play with Clement again

Any hopes the Rangers still had of signing a player who won a championship in one of Europe’s major leagues last season went up in smoke on Wednesday.

Around the end of last year, Rangers’ pursuit of the 19-year-old midfielder seemed more and more likely to lead to a deal.

TEAMtalk says that the Glasgow giants were in the running for Noah Mbamba. He is a Belgium Under-21 player and used to work with Philippe Clement at Club Brugge in Belgium.

Also, it was Clement who gave Mbamba his first senior game when he was only 16. He even played against Manchester City in the Champions League, when most of his friends would have been thinking about high school and college.

According to Clement three years ago, “He shows a lot every day in training.”

You should be careful because he has worked hard. There is still a long way to go. I’ll do the same thing with him as I did with Charles De Ketelaere, who finally joined AC Milan for £30 million. Give him time to play and let him grow without expecting too much from him. We need to help him grow little by little.

Rangers will not be getting Noah Mbamba.

Leverkusen didn’t give him many chances to play for the first team, so joining Rangers and working with a coach he knew well seemed like the next best thing. But Rangers chose to sign Mohammed Diomande from Nordsjaelland instead in January of the next year.

It is now expected that the Glasgow giants will also sign Connor Barron, who is no longer under contract.

After the Mbamba rumours died down, Bundesliga newcomers Fortuna Dusseldorf jumped at the chance to sign the teenager for the 2024–25 season.

Mbamba only played three times during Leverkusen’s Bundesliga-winning season under Xabi Alonso. He will play for Fortuna on loan this season.

On the official website, Klaus Allofs, Board Member for Sport and Communication, talks about Fortuna’s new player as “a young player with enormous potential.” “We’re confident that he will do very well in our setting and quickly make our team stronger.”

“We had to take the chance to loan a player with this much talent, even though we don’t have the option to buy.”

Young star from Bayer Leverkusen goes on loan

Rangers have not come back for Mbamba, which may surprise some people. Even more so now that John Lundstram and Ryan Jack have left. Diomande had already shown that he was worthy of a permanent move to Ibrox, and Barron came with a track record in the Scottish game. It’s possible that a 19-year-old who had barely played any senior football in 2023–24 was seen as too much of a risk.

Fortuna, on the other hand, clearly thought that the possible benefits were greater than those worries.

Christian Weber, Fortuna’s sporting director, says, “With Noah, we’re getting a player who can play in a lot of different positions in the middle and who has great physical and football skills.”

“Because he is so good for Leverkusen, he has only been used occasionally lately.” Despite his youth, he has already shown his skill at the highest level. He should now take the next step in his development by practicing matches with us on a regular basis.

Rangers is also getting close to signing Liam Kelly, a former Motherwell custodian. Also, a striker is likely to come in. Albion Rrahmani from Rapid Bucharest and Hamza Igamame

from RAF Rabat are both being considered.

An insider says the Gers will be able to have their cake and eat it too, since Koppen is linked to two exciting strikers

When it comes to Rangers, strikers are like Glasgow buses.

After waiting a long time for one, two show up at once.

Fans of Rangers are hoping that this will happen because of the high-profile links to both Hamza Igamane and Albion Rrahmani.

Rangers are almost done with a £1.7 million deal to sign Hamza Igamane from FAR Rabat in Morocco. The news came out over the weekend.

This deal has Ibrox fans more and more excited as time has gone on and more clips have been watched. The player is thought to be one of the best young strikers in the world.

People worry that the deal has stopped people from wanting to hire Rapid Bucharest’s Kosovan hitman Albion Rrahmani.

The president of the Romanian club laughing a bid all the way out of Bucharest hasn’t helped this idea.

The situation has been talked over by Four Lads Had a Dream’s Stevie Clifford, who is a leading Rangers insider. He isn’t sure these two transfers are connected.

“Rangers are after number nines.”

His Four Lads Had a Dream website is one of the most well-known Ibrox fan sites. Stevie Clifford is known to have close ties to Rangers.

Clifford talked about the Rangers’ ties to Hamza Igamane and Albion Rrahmani on the platform’s most recent podcast.

This summer, the host of “Four Lads Had a Dream” confirmed that Rangers are looking for more firepower. He also said that the Gers might play with four strikers next season.

It comes as Danilo comes back from injury and Cyriel Dessers, who is currently the ninth player, is not in a hurry to leave.

“Rangers are interested in nines for sure,” Clifford said on the podcast.

“The bid for Rrahmani may not have been enough, and they’ve moved on.” We’ll find out when the time comes.

“I believe we need two nines and Danilo to join the team.” I also don’t think Cyriel Dessers is too eager to move.

What are Igamane, Rahamani, Danilo, and Dessers?

You can understand why Rangers fans might have thought that the news about Hamza Igamane might have hurt Albion Rrahmani.

After all, Rangers had been linked to the Kosovan striker for a long time this summer.

But Football Scotland says Rangers are still “in pole position” to sign the forward this summer, which makes the links to Igamane more interesting.

Rangers’ front line will definitely get bigger before next season if they can make a deal for both players. Danilo and Cyriel Dessers will also be there.

Fans will have to “watch this space” until any deals are official, but for now, Stevie Clifford’s comments will only make them want to learn more.

It’s now up to Nils Koppen and Philippe Clement to close the deals before next week’s start of pre-season training.

Apparently £3m Rangers star put himself in the shop window after admitting he wanted to leave Ibrox

Sometime during Ianis Hagi’s time with the Rangers, it looked like he was going to be the best player in the world.

Rangers pulled off something of a coup when they signed the kid on loan from KRC Genk in January 2020. He was once one of the most promising young players in Europe.

Ianis Hagi showed he was very talented with a stunning comeback double in the Europa League win over Braga. A few months later, we signed him to a permanent deal for £3 million.

After a season and a 55th medal, Ianis Hagi was becoming an important part of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Ibrox puzzle.

But bad luck struck when Hagi hurt his cruciate ligament, and he has never fully recovered at Rangers.

The playmaker’s future is uncertain because he spent last season on loan at Spanish club Alavés. The 25-year-old has been promoting himself for Euro 2024.

Hagi plays in a romp in Romania

We all know that Ianis Hagi is the son of the famous Romanian playwright Gheorghe Hagi.

This is why it says in the football stars that the attacking midfielder will play at Euro 2024 with Romania this summer.

After scoring the important goal that sent the country to Germany (a fairy tale after the Rangers star’s injury problems), even less playing time in Spain wasn’t likely to stop a call-up.

Now, Hagi has just come off the bench as Romania beats Ukraine 3-0 to get off to a great start in the Euros for the first time since 2016.

In the first half, Nicolae Stanciu scored the first goal for Romania. In the second half, Razvan Marin and Denis Dragus scored the rest of the goals.

After the hour mark, Ianis Hagi came on for Denis Man and was seen leading the celebrations when the game was over.

Future of Rangers not decided

Ianis Hagi said this summer that he wasn’t sure about his future with Rangers, so the Euro 2024 appearance comes as a surprise.

Hagi has said that he is focusing on his duties in Romania, so it’s still not clear what’s going on with him, even though it was thought that he might be going back to Rangers.

Many people at Ibrox aren’t sure what will happen with Ianis’s future, but the playmaker can’t say for sure if he’ll be back at Rangers after the tournament in Germany.

At the beginning of June, Hagi said, “My attention is on the Euros.” “I spoke with my agents, and the heat is on them.”

I want them to know what I want for my future. This summer is very important for me in every way. That’s what I told them before I went to the national team.

“I expect them to do everything they can to help me find the right team and manager.”

“I don’t know if I’ll be at Rangers or somewhere else.” My agents decide what will happen to me.

Ianis Hagi has played 99 games for Rangers and has scored 16 goals and set up 21 others.

The playmaker has also played 36 times for Romania and scored five goals.

Rangers really need to get Damian Garcia after two permanent departures from Ibrox have been confirmed

Derek Ferguson says that every team needs players like Damian Garcia, but Rangers need him more than anyone else right now because they’ve lost two senior midfielders.

On June 5, Football Scotland said that the Light Blues were interested in the Uruguayan midfielder during Philippe Clement’s transfer window.

And after the club confirmed that both John Lundstram and Ryan Jack would be leaving because their contracts were up, the Ibrox midfield looks empty. Ferguson, who used to play in that position, thinks Garcia would be a good addition in the same way that Stuart McCall was.

Jefte, Clinton Nsiala, and Oscar Cortes are the three 20-year-olds that Clement has already signed. Ferguson likes to sign young players from other countries because their desire to make the move shows that they are hungry.

He told Ibrox News only, “They brought him in for a reason; they did their research.”Philippe Clement is doing everything he says he is doing right now with the hiring, with Koppen coming in.

“These young men are being sought out.” When they lose players like Lundstram and Ryan Jack, they miss out on players who could do more than just destroy the other team.

“But this kid looks like the kind of person who likes playing defensive midfield, which is a role I think every team needs.”

“Look at the Rangers.” McCall came to Rangers even after I left. He was great in that part. It was hard for him to let the other team’s playmakers do their jobs because he stopped the game.

“You need that kind of person all the time.” Stuart could play too, and I’m sure this kid can too.

“Obviously, they like something about him, and I like that. Again, as a young 20-year-old, he’ll be hungry and have a lot to prove, and I think that’s what we need at Rangers.”

“I love the hunger of young players, but we need to find the right balance. You can’t just bring in all young players.” To see how good they are, they’re ready to go to another country.

Ryan Jack and John Lundstram leave the Rangers because their contracts are up.

Rangers John Lundstram

John Lundstram is one of two Rangers midfielders to leave already along with Ryan Jack.

The news on June 12 that Garcia was going to sign a new deal with Penarol (Dario Alberti) that included a $10 million (£7.9 million) release clause is bad news for Rangers.

Because of how busy Clement and Nils Koppen are at Ibrox this summer, they can’t pay that much, even though John Bennett has said there is money to spend [Daily Record, 14 June]. This means he can’t leave for a cheap price with only a few months left on his contract, but it doesn’t mean a transfer won’t happen.

As for the Light Blues, they need at least two more players in central midfield. If Garcia doesn’t prove to be one of them, they’ll have to move for Connor Barron and keep looking for more players.

Pundit feels bad that Rangers might have to sell first-team player; calls it “horrible and heartbreaking”

Derek Ferguson said that if Kieran Dowell leaves Rangers this summer to go to England, the club will send him their “best wishes.”

As Philippe Clement changes his team, the Gers midfielder’s future is uncertain. In his Daily Record column on June 2, Kenny Miller said he had “no impact” and the manager would be open to offers. Meanwhile, on May 28, Chris Jack wrote for Rangers Review that a return to Scotland “looks on the cards.”

Ferguson, who used to love playing at Ibrox, agrees that the 26-year-old’s move from Norwich a year ago hasn’t worked out after only 16 games in all competitions, most of which came off the bench.

The commentator agrees that injuries are very hard on players, but they insist that the club must be “ruthless” when they try to get better during the transfer window.

He told Ibrox News in an exclusive interview, “Listen, I’m not making fun of boys who are hurt; it must be terrible and heartbreaking for them.” But Rangers have to be cruel, we can’t have that.

“I know it’s a contact sport, but the way things are going, it’s becoming a non-contact sport. You can see a player there, but he doesn’t play enough games and isn’t fit enough.

“That’s why we wish him luck if he goes to England and finds a club there.”

“Nonetheless, it has not occurred to him at Rangers, as it has not occurred to a number of them.”

Rangers Philippe Clement

Philippe Clement has to be “ruthless” with Rangers during the summer transfer window

Rangers need Philippe Clement to be “ruthless” during the summer transfer window.

The move from Norwich to Rangers is hard for Kieran Dowell.

After John Lundstram and Ryan Jack left because their contracts were up, Clement doesn’t have a lot of midfield options, though a deal for Connor Barron could happen soon. But, like Jack, it hasn’t mattered much if Dowell was in the squad or not because he hasn’t been fit to play.

Injuries don’t affect anyone more than the player who gets hurt, but Rangers have had more of a problem with them lately than most teams.

Dowell was a signing by Michael Beale, and when a new manager takes over, players that were brought in by the previous manager may not be available. Since he was a free agent, it might not take a huge offer to get him.

‘We’re saying goodbye’: The club has confirmed that the Rangers target is leaving after receiving a “strong” offer from Ibrox

The truth wasn’t really a secret. However, it’s still good to know for sure. One of the Rangers’ main summer targets will be free this summer.

Free agents aren’t really free, though.

No matter when a player’s contract ends, there are still agent fees, signing-on fees, and wage demands that are often higher because there is no transfer fee. Although Connor Barron won’t get an insanely high signing-on bonus like Kylian Mbappe does when he joins Real Madrid (£85 million), Rangers also wouldn’t be able to just grab the highly-rated midfielder without spending a dime.

The Daily Record says that Rangers would still have to pay Aberdeen a fee, but it would be a lot less than what the player is worth on the market. Rangers could be taken to court if they can’t agree on a fee. Barron is now free to sign a contract at Ibrox.

To get Connor Barron, the Rangers want to win the race.

There is a “strong offer” for Barron to move to Glasgow, and he is likely to decide next week. In the English Championship, Swansea City, Cardiff, Stoke, and Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle are all fans of him.

Italy is also interested. Bologna, which is going to the Champions League, wants to get into Scottish football again after the success of Aaron Hickey and Lewis Ferguson as captain.

After that, no one knows where Barron is working in 2024 or 25. But Aberdeen is not going to be it.The Dons confirmed on Friday that the Scotland Under-21 international is one of several senior players who will be leaving in July. These players include goalkeeper Kelle Roos and former Celtic winger Jonny Hayes.

A statement on the Aberdeen website says, “Now that the 2023–24 season is over, we can fill you in on our first team squad for the coming season.”

“We are sad to lose Kelle Roos, Connor Barron, Anthony Stewart, and of course Jonny Hayes from our first team.”

“The club made Connor a number of offers to try and keep him at Aberdeen.” He has chosen, though, that his future will be somewhere else.

Aberdeen confirms that their star midfielder is leaving.

Would Barron choose the Rangers? If so, he would do what Scott Wright and Ryan Jack did. It looks like he will be a good fit to replace the latter, since the former Aberdeen captain is leaving the team, making room for an aggressive, all-around central midfielder like Barron.

Barry Ferguson, who has led Rangers to five Scottish Premiership titles, would love to see one of the best young players in the country follow in his royal blue footsteps.

After all, Ferguson has criticised his old team for not making better use of local talent, since Josh Doig, Hickey, and his nephew Lewis all left Scotland to play for other teams.

As the race to sign Barron heats up, Ferguson now tells Go Radio, “I think he’s a good young player.”

“Will he really make the Rangers midfield stronger?” It’s hard when you play for a team like Aberdeen and have a lot of responsibility. What people want and expect…

“But he plays well.” I think I would go with the price and give him a chance. I have been impressed by Aberdeen when I have seen him.

“But going to Rangers is a whole other story.”

Clement’s team also wants to sign another Scottish free agent. In the summer, keeper Liam Kelly will be leaving Livingston.

Rangers to accept big money offer ‘too good to turn down’ for exit-linked defender, according to report

The Rangers Review says that the team might be tempted to take an offer for Ridvan Yilmaz.

The online news source said on June 13 that the Gers are not actively trying to sell the left back in order to make room for summer transfers.

Things might change, though, if the right offer comes along.

It costs money to keep Yilmaz at the club. Philippe Clement wants to spend the rest of his career with the 23-year-old, but that could change if the club gets an offer they “couldn’t refuse.”

Philippe Clement will want to keep Ridvan Yilmaz at Rangers.

This summer, Clement will try to keep Yilmaz.

The defender did a great job for the Belgian until March, when he got hurt and couldn’t play anymore. The fact that the Gers’ form dropped in April and May shows how Yilmaz changed the team.

He has been hurt a lot during his two seasons with the team, but the Rangers Review says that the Gers are sure that those problems will be fixed during pre-season.

If the club keeps Yilmaz, they will have two very good left-back options now that Jefte is there.

That depth could be very important for Clement’s team next season as they try to take the Scottish Premiership away from Celtic.

There have been rumours that Yilmaz might leave the club. On June 10, the Turkish newspaper Sabah said that Besiktas had made an offer to re-sign the player.

Ridvan Yilmaz could remain at Rangers this summer

Yilmaz’s agent, Necdet Ergezen, told Gokmen Ozcan on June 10 that the player has no plans to go back to Turkey right now, which suggests he would be willing to stay at Ibrox.

Rangers to shell out £7.7m to seal new deal

Rangers want to sign Damian Garcia for £7.7 million.

It looks like Rangers will have to pay around £7.7 million to get Penarol midfielder Damian Garcia.

Ibrox wanted to sign the 20-year-old player, according to a report from Football Scotland on June 5th. It is likely that Nils Koppen had talks to sign him in Cancun.

But if Gers still want to sign him this summer, things will be harder because Dario Alberti says he will sign a new deal that lasts until 2026.

The reporter for Sport 890 said that they would add a £7.7 million release clause to the deal to protect their own interests.

In a tweet, Alberti said, “Tomorrow, Damián García’s contract with Peñarol will be renewed until December 2026.” Their pay will go up, and they can leave for a US$10,000,000 fee. It was over for Ruglio and Lasalvia on their trip to Mexico.

Rangers aren’t likely to spend a lot of money on Damian Garcia.

Garcia is only 20 years old, so he hasn’t shown much talent yet, especially outside of Uruguay.

He has shown promise in his home country, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be able to do the same in a more competitive league like the Scottish Premiership.

Garcia has also not yet made a big name for himself on the international stage.

Even though he played well in the under-20 World Cup, the demands of senior club football are very different from playing youth international football.

Rangers would be taking a big risk by putting that much money into a player who hasn’t played much yet.

Trying to get Damian Garcia doesn’t fit with the Rangers’ plan for making transfers.

Gers should instead focus on talented people who have already been around for a while.

The club doesn’t have a lot of money to spend on transfers, and it would be a waste to spend a lot of it on a player who is still learning the game.

There are probably cheaper options that can help the first team right away.

One more thing that needs to be thought about is Philippe Clement’s suggestions. If he can’t take the club to the next level, he will be held accountable.

Ibrox view: Rangers are getting close to deciding whether to bring back Abdallah Sima, and Brighton is about to set a record-setting goal score

Since Brighton is about to hire a new manager, Abdallah Sima will soon know if his future includes going back to Rangers.

The Senegalese forward was a great addition to Glasgow’s team last season. He scored 16 goals across all competitions while mostly playing off the left wing, even though he was hurt for three months from January to April.

That return is a big part of how many goals Michael Beale and Philippe Clement scored last season, which makes a deal to keep him at Ibrox appealing if it works out financially.

There have been several public statements by Sima saying that he would like to stay at Rangers if an agreement can be reached between the two clubs.

Rangers Review said on June 6 that he probably wouldn’t be told about his future until Brighton hired a new manager. They fired Roberto De Zerbi at the end of the season, and now they’re about to do that.

Fabian Hurzeler will take over for Roberto De Zerbi at the Amex

Sky Sports reported on June 9 that the Seagulls had gotten Fabian Hurzeler, the manager of St. Pauli, a work permit. If he takes over at the Amex, the 31-year-old will become the youngest Premier League manager ever.

After a day, Fabrizio Romano said that the German is likely to sign a deal down south in the next 48 hours, while talks on a compensation deal for the record-breaking move continue.

It’s clear that what Hurzeler plans to do with Sima will have a big impact on the 22-year-old’s future. If the coach doesn’t see him in the plans for next season, it would make it more likely that he comes back to the Rangers.

The wide player hasn’t played for his parent club yet because he moved to the Light Blues after loans at Stoke City and Angers.

Derek Ferguson of Ibrox News, on the other hand, isn’t sure if the club can afford to sign Sima to a permanent deal because he thinks it would cost eight figures.

Rangers winger Oscar Cortes

Rangers have also brought back fellow loanee Oscar Cortes.

It would cost a lot to sign Rangers for good.

Because they bought him for £6 million from Slavia Prague in 2021, the Seagulls probably won’t want to let him go for free. However, The Athletic reported at the time of the original deal that there was thought to be an option for an extra year.

If Hurzeler doesn’t think Sima is ready to play in the Premier League, and the player has made it clear that he feels at home at Rangers, Brighton could choose to exercise his contract option and let him come back on a second loan deal, unless they get a better offer from somewhere else.

As a result, the English club is almost certain to get a new manager, which will be a big step towards Sima finding out where he will play next season.
