In Super Bowl LIX, the Philadelphia Eagles made it clear which team was superior to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs’ NFL dominance was ended on Sunday by the Eagles, who won the Vince Lombardi Trophy with a 40–22 victory at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

The Eagles’ victory was much more than just the quarterback’s performance, even though Jalen Hurts was named the Super Bowl MVP.

Linebacker Zack Baun, who had seven total tackles, a quarterback hit, a pass defended, and, of course, an interception off a pass from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was one of the players who had a strong game for Philadelphia.

Ali Baun, Baun’s wife, took a video of her husband intercepting Mahomes during the game’s second quarter and shared it on social media with the caption, “deceased.”

Zack’s catch at the Chiefs’ 14-yard line cost Kansas City more than just a possession. Additionally, it paved the way for Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown’s eventual touchdown catch, which gave Philadelphia a 24-point lead.

Zack had an incredible 2024 NFL season, making the most of his $1.6 million one-year contract with the Eagles in March of that year.

It’s also important to note that Zack spent his first four seasons in the NFL with the New Orleans Saints before the Eagles defeated him in the Super Bowl at his former home field.

The 28-year-old former Wisconsin Badgers star recorded 5.5 sacks and two interceptions during the 2024 regular season, earning him a Pro Bowl nod in his first season with the Eagles.
