A four-star safety has committed to Florida football
Four-star safety. Kaiden Hall has committed to play football at the University of Florida, following his official visit to the Swamp.
Hall is the Gators’ highest-rated prospect for next season, following IOL G’Nivre Carr’s commitment this week.

Kaiden Hall
Kaiden Hall attended Milton High School in Milton, Florida, and graduated in 2026. Many competitors, including Florida State, Georgia, and Alabama, made offers to the 6’3, 200-pound safety.
During his junior season, the safety made 32 tackles in seven games for the Milton Panthers, who finished 0-10. Hall also had two rush touchdowns and averaged 5.8 yards per carry on the offensive side of the ball. According to 247 Sports, the four-star commit is ranked 170th best player and 14th best safety in his recruiting class.

2026 Commitments
Hall is the third Florida native to pledge to the Gators thus far. Will Griffin, a four-star quarterback from Tampa, committed about a year ago. G’Nivre Carr, IMG’s three-star lineman, committed on Sunday. Carr paid his official visit this weekend, along with Hall. They join Jamir Perez, a three-star defensive lineman from Cleveland, Ohio, who committed on May 18.

Still Ahead.
Billy Napier and the Florida Gators are still waiting for pledges from the other twelve recruits who visited Gainesville this weekend. They are expecting nine prospects for official visits on Friday, including Cederian Morgan, a five-star wide receiver recruit.
Four-Star Safety Commits to Florida Gators, Boosting 2025 Defensive Class
In a major recruiting win for head coach Billy Napier and the University of Florida football program, a highly touted four-star safety officially announced his commitment to the Gators, becoming one of the top defensive additions to the team’s 2025 class. The pledge not only strengthens Florida’s already promising recruiting cycle but also reinforces the team’s renewed focus on building an elite secondary in the SEC.
The player in question, Jordan Headley, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound standout from Buford High School in Georgia, made his decision public via a live stream and social media post, donning the orange and blue hat to cheers from his family and teammates. Headley chose Florida over offers from Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, and Texas A&M—powerhouse programs that had all made aggressive pushes late in the process.
“I’m going to be a Florida Gator,” Headley said with a grin. “The culture, the opportunity to play early, and the trust I have in the coaching staff made this decision easy for me and my family.”
Florida’s safeties coach Will Harris played a crucial role in Headley’s recruitment. The two built a strong relationship over the last several months, with Harris making multiple visits and emphasizing how the Gators plan to use Headley’s versatile skill set in a hybrid coverage role.
“I love Coach Harris,” Headley said. “He kept it real from day one. He didn’t sugarcoat anything—he told me how I’d need to work, but also that I could be a game-changer here. That stuck with me.”
Headley is widely considered one of the most instinctive defensive backs in the 2025 class. His film shows excellent anticipation, top-end speed, and a physical edge that makes him a force in both coverage and run support. In his junior season, he recorded 67 tackles, four interceptions, and two forced fumbles, while also playing as a punt returner.
Recruiting analysts have praised his football IQ and flexibility. “He’s the kind of safety you can move all over the field,” said 247Sports analyst Cooper Petagna. “He’s got range like a free safety but hits like a strong safety. He’s also a vocal leader on the field, which Florida needs.”
Florida’s 2025 recruiting class has been steadily rising in the national rankings, and Headley’s commitment may serve as a turning point. With multiple blue-chip defenders already on board, the Gators are signaling their intent to reestablish a dominant defensive identity under Napier.
This commitment also speaks volumes about Florida’s NIL approach and development plan, which has been increasingly competitive against traditional recruiting powers like Georgia and Alabama. Sources say Florida pitched Headley not just on early playing time, but on long-term development, branding, and support beyond football.
Headley visited Gainesville twice this spring, including for the Gators’ annual Orange and Blue spring game. He was seen interacting closely with players and coaches and left with strong impressions of the locker room chemistry and fan support. “It just felt like home,” he later said.
The commitment adds depth to a secondary that has seen flashes of potential but lacked consistency in recent seasons. Napier and defensive coordinator Austin Armstrong have made it a clear priority to revamp the back end of the defense—and Headley could be a cornerstone of that effort.
“Jordan’s commitment is big for us,” Napier said in a statement. “He’s a high-character guy, a student of the game, and someone who’s going to fit our culture on and off the field.”
Current Florida players have also welcomed the news, with several defensive backs, including sophomore standout Devin Moore, posting messages of support for Headley on social media. “Let’s build something special,” Moore wrote.
Headley becomes the 14th commitment in Florida’s 2025 class and the third defensive back. He’s expected to graduate early and enroll in January 2025, giving him a full spring to acclimate to the college game and potentially compete for early playing time.
Florida fans were quick to celebrate the announcement online, with “#HeadleyToTheSwamp” trending on X (formerly Twitter) within minutes of his commitment video being posted. Many fans view Headley’s pledge as a statement that Florida is back in the mix for elite national talent.
While other schools may still try to flip Headley before signing day, he sounded confident in his decision. “I’m shutting it down,” he said. “Florida’s where I’m meant to be.”
With momentum growing and top-tier talent like Headley on board, the Gators’ recruiting trajectory is clearly pointing upward. If Florida can translate these wins on the trail into success on the field, the return to national contention might come sooner than expected.
