Guns N’ Roses Launch 2025 Tour, Perform First Show With New Drummer – See Setlist + Video
Guns N’ Roses began up their 2025 global tour on Thursday at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park in Incheon, South Korea. They performed a 22-song set that was similar to their prior performances.
You may watch footage of the concert and check the setlist below.
The tour’s opening event, titled “Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things,” included new Guns N’ Roses drummer Isaac Carpenter, who took over for Frank Ferrer in March. Carpenter was formerly affiliated with GN’R, having performed with Duff McKagan’s Loaded from 2009 to 2011 and featured on their 2011 album The Taking.
What Did Guns N’ Roses Play at the 2025 Tour Kickoff?
The most significant alteration in the band’s performance was the sequence of the set list. Guns performed “Welcome to the Jungle” for the first time since 2012, according to setlist.fm. The reunion-era opener, “It’s So Easy,” was performed later in the evening.
The band drew heavily from their epochal debut album Appetite for Destruction, playing seven of its 12 songs, including “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Nightrain,” and faithful set closer “Paradise City.” Use Your Illusion epics “November Rain,” “Coma,” and “Estranged” returned, as well as the relative deep cut “Bad Obsession.” The band’s songs “Better,” “Sorry,” and “Title Track” reflected Chinese democracy.
Only “Perhaps” was included in Guns N’ Roses’ post-reunion compilation of four songs released since 2021. The GN’R performance included just four covers, including Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” Wings’ “Live and Let Die,” Glen Campbell’s “Wichita Lineman,” and Velvet Revolver’s “Slither,” compared to the usual number.
Guns N’ Roses’ current tour will last through the remainder of the spring and early summer, culminating on July 31 at Wacken Open Air. The band has yet to announce any North American gigs.
