Mikaela Shiffrin has wasted no time getting back on snow following a whirlwind period of celebrations and media appearances after her latest achievements. Fresh off an outstanding season that saw her secure a record sixth overall World Cup title and an Olympic gold medal in the women’s slalom, she has already resumed training rather than taking an extended break.

The American star recently shared her first on-snow photos since the end of the season, revealing that she is back working through gates at Mammoth Mountain in California. The timing coincides with the Far West Super G Finals, which were held at the resort over the weekend, highlighting that she has quickly transitioned from competition success to preparation mode.

Despite becoming the most decorated alpine skier in U.S. history, Shiffrin is clearly not easing into the offseason. Instead, she appears focused on maintaining momentum and sharpening her form as she begins early preparations for the 2026/27 campaign.

Her return to training so soon after such a demanding and successful season underlines her relentless work ethic. It also signals her intent to remain at the top of the sport, even after achieving major milestones.

Looking back, her triumph in the women’s slalom at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics capped off a remarkable year. With that victory and her World Cup dominance, the season stands as one of the most impressive of her career.

Now, with spring training already underway, anticipation is building for what she might accomplish when the next winter season arrives.
