More you need to know about Mikaela Shiffrin when she’s not skiing: Mikaela Shiffrin’s Custom Spa

on

We recently had the pleasure of designing and building an infinity-edge backyard spa for five-time World Champion ski racer Mikaela Shiffrin.

Mikaela’s idea for the spa was for one of the infinity edges to face the mountains, with a pool surface reflecting both the mountains and the sky in harmony. She claims that the infinity edge also produces a pleasant sound of flowing water. The spa has elements such as a seat, jets, and lighting. She thinks the spa feels like a “vacation” at home. “I can’t imagine a better way to end the day,” Mikaela says.

Mikaela loves the fact that CPSS handles regular maintenance because she travels so often for ski racing. “The CPSS team has allowed me to be away from home and trust that everything is going to be fine and ready to go when I come home, no matter the season.”

Mikaela Shiffrin’s Triumph: A Record-Breaking Feat That Leaves Skiing Breathless

Mikaela Shiffrin has once again redefined the limits of alpine skiing, securing yet another historic victory that cements her status as one of the sport’s greatest athletes. With each race, she continues to push boundaries, setting new records that leave both the skiing world and her own expectations breathless.

A Career of Relentless Dominance

Shiffrin’s latest triumph adds to her already legendary career, where she has amassed an unparalleled number of World Cup wins. At just 28, she has shattered records that seemed untouchable, surpassing skiing icons such as Lindsey Vonn and Ingemar Stenmark. Her technical precision, mental resilience, and relentless drive have propelled her to new heights, making her not just a champion but a force of nature in the sport.

This most recent victory, whether in slalom, giant slalom, or another discipline, is a testament to her ability to perform under pressure. Over the years, she has evolved from a teenage sensation into a seasoned competitor who dominates across all disciplines.

The Physical and Mental Toll

Shiffrin’s success is not just about talent—it’s about perseverance. The physical toll of competing at the highest level is immense, with grueling training sessions, travel, and races demanding peak performance at all times. The mental aspect is just as challenging, as expectations rise with every victory.

Despite setbacks, including injuries and personal losses, Shiffrin has shown remarkable resilience. Her ability to rebound from adversity and continue winning is what sets her apart. After every race, whether she wins or not, she emphasizes the importance of growth and learning—an attitude that has fueled her longevity in the sport.

What This Means for Skiing

Shiffrin’s dominance is not just about personal records; it’s about elevating the entire sport. Her achievements inspire a new generation of skiers, proving that excellence is not just about talent but about discipline, preparation, and an unyielding mindset.

With her latest triumph, the question is no longer if she will break records, but rather how many she will set before she eventually decides to step away from competitive skiing. Until then, Mikaela Shiffrin will continue to leave the world breathless—one race at a time.
